  1. BAT Projects - SimGoober

Sorry for introducing a completely new topic (at least, i believe it is): I'm loving Brick Canals and SNM, so i wanted to combine them. I used SNM lots (on dry land) and added water from the Brick Canals. Not bad looking, but there was an issue with the water extender lot. Other than water from PEG or OPPIE, the water extender from the Brick Canal series is masking the piers from SNM (for example the submarine pier). Generally, it would be great to use the different canal sets combined in one city by using the same water textures. I really would appreciate if this would be possible. Best regards, wowa
  2. McDonalds v1

Damn realistic work. I love to have it in my cities. I think i will go and get me a McBacon after give you 10.
  3. Suburban GLR Station Set

Great work! A very useful set.
  4. Stoplights SuperMOD, Wanted?

Hi cogeo, thanks again for opening this thread (and for adjustment of pics). Even if it seems that having the traffic lights on the farside of the intersection is the better system in reality, i would really appreciate a possibility to give my cities a more familiar look.
  5. OK, lucky California ..... it seems you have the better system! But what about the weather? Damn, you have the better weather too . I think, i really should visit California one day.
  6. Ups, you're right cogeo, i thought the light (when coming along from the left side would stand on the left side (but then it would have been before the intersection,.. grummel). Sorry, i must have been blind.
  7. I thought, that wouldn't be so easy to do (at least for me) and it's good to see that also some other people don't like the stoplights' arrangement in SC4 either. @cogeo: Thanks for starting a thread under the Modding Transit Networks Forum, i wasn't sure if it's interesting enough for others too. @GMT: no, i'm from Austria, but we have the same system than the german (the picture i used was the first suitable pic i found in Google to show what i mean; i used it as it's sometimes hard for me to explain things in english). It's absolutely true that the german/austrian/? system isn't the best, but since i'm accustomed to it ...
  8. Well, i see. So i dare say it's only a matter of habit that this positioning of the traffic lights is so irritating for me. In my region the traffic lights look mostly like them in this picture: http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/driving%20school.gif align=baseline> By the way, you're absolutely right that it's sometimes hard to see the lights if you are the first car. It iss often enough necessary to crick the neck. I mean, it's not really an essential point, but it would be nice though if there would be a possibility to change the positions to give my cities a more local look.
  9. I'm always irritated that the traffic lights in SC4 are behind the intersection. Is there a way to bring them in front of the intersection? Also strange is that the traffic lights are not always on the same side (sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right side). Attached you'll see a picture of a T-shaped intersection to see what i mean. Pic 1 is how the traffic lights are positioned in my game, pic 2 suits my suggestion of the lights in front of the intersection and pic 3 additionally shows every traffic light on the right side (for right-hand traffic). So unfortunately, pics 2 and 3 are simply painted to show where the lights should be (in my mind). http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/traffic%20lights.jpg align=baseline> Is there a mod ore another possibility to solve that or do you think that's worth to be a request for NAM? Hope this hasn't been discussed before, but i didn't found anything regarding the positioning in front resp. behind the intersection. Greetings, wowa
  10. Animated Austrian Flag V0

But as mentioned in my description, I only followed the tutorial how to make an animated flag. Have you got it?
  11. Animated Austrian Flag V0

Sorry for being absent a long time (a new PC and the real life kept me away). @Nintendomaster128: no unnecessary recriminations, please! This was my very first attempt to make something own for SC4 and I apologize if I unwittingly will have adorned myself with borrowed plumes.
  12. Painted Road Sign Lots PRS

As lakeboy mentioned before, the lots are fully compatible with his lots. And no, i never thought about making a LHS variant, as these signs only were meant as an supplement to lakeyboy & Jeronij's Lots (especially for german language), but if there is a demand... why not.
  13. Painted Road Sign Lots PRS

Thanks to all for your nice comments! Hope, you enjoy it! Unfortunately, the signs are not functional (would have no clue how to manage this).

Motivated by Lakeyboy & Jeronij's great Painted Road Sign Lots, i made my own textures to closer fit the look of my hometown. There are two packages (both for right hand traffic), one for using with streets with double yellow lines, one for streets with white dotted lines. Each package contains a "50" sign and three signs with a white arrow (left, right and straight on) and the german inscription "Zentrum" to show my Sims the way to the inner city. You will find the menu icons of the lots in your transportation / misc menu. Very special thanks goes to Lakeyboy & Jeronij, as i took their idea, learned from their lots how these things will work and then only made my own textures. greetings, wowa
  15. obsolete Victorian Style El Rail Station

Whow, great! I've downloaded it immediately, a wonderful addition to my city. Btw, UI from the straight station tells me, that there are no monthly costs? However, thanks a lot for these wonderful stations!
