Update 1 Ok, welcome to my first attempt at showing of my sc4-skills This will simply be a showcase of some of my cities. I just want some feedback so let me know what you think. Since I am really lazy, i dont expect to update this far too often, just so you know... Ok, dont expect too much, but here are the first two pictures (Oh and i know there is no traffic, but its a plopped city and I havnt even pressed play yet ): (Sunny day in the Old Town) (Helicopter on South shore drive) Thats it for this update, hope to see you soon.

Its been a while since I browsed the forums, but Im back. UnkleS27 - 8/10 - I like the overall feeling, but the water level is a little low for my liking. urrenato - 7/10 - I like the building style, but the arrows kill it for me. Im also curious how that little pool of water below the waterfall can hold all the water coming down... Its got to go somerwhere. Nardo69: 6/10 - Well, its a little plain for my taste. There is nothing special about the picture in my opinion. It is a nice train though. With that out of the way, here is my contribution: Morning rush hour in downtown Sala

Update! Replies: Shingure - Sorry it took song long... But here it is I'm glad you like my pictures. bbfan02 - Thank you very much. Here we go: The city I'm currently working on is a european city. I'm going for a northern/central european feeling (not necessarily swedish ) It was named Clinton (after my dog actually) and is located on a plain with a river running trough it (much like the city I currently live in by the way, Örebro). It is divided into south and north side by the river running through the city centre. It is primarily a commercial center, although it has it's fair share of industry (will be covered in a future update). It is an old city, built in the typical european wall-to-wall style. Because of it's old age, the commercial buildings are mostly dual-purpose buildings, housing both stores/offices and residents. As a result, there is no real commercial center. It is scattered over the central parts of the city. Lately some of the older buildings have had to make way for more modern comercial ones. This gives a mixture of old and new in some parts of the city. It has a reasonably developed subway- and bus-system. The first update was focused on residential neighbourhoods jsut outside the city center. This second update shows similar areas, but also shows the hospital and parts of the city center. The hospital, situated on the northern shore of the river The avenue on the bottom is one of the main roads in the city. This particular avenue runs from west to east on the northern side of the river. There are many popular shops along the road and it's especially popular among the rich. Actually the neighbourhood in general is a rich one. You can also see a park where the rich people get their game on Somewhat similar to the previous picture. This is on the south side. It also features an avenue that runs from west to east, but this is mostly a residential area. The basketball courts in the park indicate that this area might not be as rich. But don't be fooled... This is one of the oldest parts of the city and it is very popular among the rich. Teaser - suburbs This will just be a teaser I'm afraid, only two pictures. The pictures are the first of hopefully many depicting suburbs in the city of Clinton. Shot of a suburb in the south of the city. This area is more or less an update of the area that won me my first (and so far only) entry in the picture competition hall of fame. One of the main roads runs from north to south just outside the left edge of this picture. The same area, but a different angle Thanks for your attention, see you soon again.

@ De Ja Vu - If you mean the diagonal buildings, they were made by prepo and can be found over at sc4d by searching for prepo. If you mean the diagonal "walkways" they were made by marrast and can probably be found if you search the stex for "marrast" @ The Big Z - If you mean the parkway in any of the last three pictures, it's actually part of the seawalls made by marrast, and like I said they can probably be found if you search the stex for "marrast" @ Everybody else, expect an update in the morning...

Ok everybody, I guess you convinced me I know that sc4d is nothing compared to ST, but I like the fact that its a tight community. ST is too big But, I guess you're right. How can I not update with all these fantastic comments? So here we go; this will be a straight copy and paste thing, at least until I find myself with more time on my hands Update! Ok, this MD will be kind of a mixed bag. I'm trying lots of different things. Lately I've been building another European themed city, but in the future I hope to share some of my other projects. Don't expect this to be regularly updated... I will update when I have the time and right now, there is a severe lack of time... That being said, I hope I will have the time to update this more frequently in the future. So, without further ado, I bring you the first pictures (these make heavy use of prepos diagonals): That will have to be it for now, I have to run off. Christmas shopping Don't worry, there is more over at sc4d that I will bring over when I have the time. Until then, ciao

khoianh94: Its a good picture, however, I don't like the fact that I can see zones. Plus i cant stand those enormous light poles in the middle of the avenue. It's just not realistic to me. But overall picture composition is good - 6.5/10 Amerikaner: I agree with*****atoo, i don't like the photoshop effect. The city building looks good, but I don't like the streets between the two roundabouts in the center. Other than that it's a good picture - 7.5/10 Now here is a shot from my MD over at sc4d:

Thanks all I'm glad you liked it. @ Tojglee Most, if not all the diagonals were made by Prepo. You can find them over at sc4devotion. Just search for prepo.

Originally posted by: jacqulina hi my friend im just wondering if you plop everything does it still survive like a grown city if you know what i mean, caus thats what i would like to try, anyway another excellent update and yes i agree very colorfull, excellent work and picsquote> Well jacky, Im using an abandonment-mod which prevents anything from looking abandoned for 180 years I think. Many buildings (mainly those by Odd from Sweden) arent functional and thus will not abandon. And the buildings that are functional usually get filled up with tenants after some time, when the demand is right. I also recommend zoning some of your neighborhoods to get a healthy population. Hope that clears some of it up Btw, glad you like my pictures.
