...snooze, snorr, grumble, bruhe....BRUH, HUH WHAT! is it time to wake up for the next episode of AVR? Good just in time. JUST IN TIME? You missed last weeks episode. Oh No! Bummer, what went wrong? Oh, I see serious case of RL. Well that update was nice, great ploppable water stuff, nice that david's Inn, I love to have a beer there any time. Now onto the next update Pic 1& 2 Amazing how you make the Rural Highway look so darn good. Also great that avenue highway intersection (pity there is a bumb in the avenue, but that must be bad maintenance Super 8 and Chili's go good together! The warehouse project (sounds like an album name...nope....googling learns me it's a discotheque in Manchester) is great. I love to know where those warehouses can be found. mmm. pic 5 I notice that the highway is going a bit humpy bumpy there in the lower left corner. Pic 6&7 great use of ploppable trees! Pic 8&9 beatifull seasonal trees (why is that jurk placing his van linear to the street? GET A DRIVER"S LICENCE!!!) Pic10. What a view. Pic 11. Great nite shot. Nice colours! Pic12-14 Great trails (shortcut to the chili's?) Pic 15. Very nice shot. A bit out of place in this country side as it would fit in any bigger city. Pic 16-19. great use of that path. I love the way you use your little filler lots. They are quite handy. Pic 20 Masterpiece in all it's glory. Pic 21 Masterpiece in all it's glory part deux (pity of that no street zot, but we know about it from several updates ago). Someone told me it's all happening at the zoo. I do believe it, I do believe it's true. So i went with the three lads to the zoo yesterday. Great day for a visit (it's 12 degrees C here in the Netherlands) and we had a great time. Yesterday was one big quality time day I only had one glitch while changing diapers, but I leave the details to your imagination (Yuck!). Nik-Nik
  6. BLaM St Felicity

Fantastic work. Great night lighting. This will look good in any city
  7. Anduin Valley Revisited

Nice development John. I like those two bridges next to eachother, it's like the pyramid at the Louvre. How did you manage to get the cyclepath underneath the first bridge? Am I missing something here? Great idea that TV station. I love your work on the antenna's it's just right, perfect. -bummer myfilehut is down, cannot see the cycleway path- Back home life is good. My wife and I had a weekend without kids. It's like our honeymoon all over again. Nice breakfast at a gerat hotel, touring an old town (Groningen) and taking a cup of coffee or a sandwich when we felt like it. Ahhh life is good. Well that was the weekend for me in a nutshell. Do not egt me wrong, when I came back on Sunday I was SO glad to see the boys again, I immediatelly messed up my sunday's shoes when playing soccer with the eldest and youngest in the park. Take care, John. Nik-Nik

  10. Anduin Valley Revisited

Thank you for this great update John. Asan avid reader of AVR I am now quite proficient with the techniques you use, but I have not seen the use of the 'lower terrain' tool before. I now see what the result is when using it carefully (I am too stressed with all kids hanging around me to work as carefull as you). That rail bridge that's one of the new NAM bridges? Now one comment I have (couldn't resist) In pic 12 you wrote: "I need some clearance under the bridge to be able to place the cycleway" Are you sure this height is sufficient? Besides do the cyclepath fit or is there an overhanging pice included in the kit as well? Have a great weekend John and send my regards to your lovely wife. Nik-Nik
  11. Slann. You made a masterpiece again. Lots of stuff happening. The rebels made a very succesful move I guess and they now have the imperial forces in a pincer position if the Arnsa Creek rebels decide to move in too. That eye witness news is just awesome. I can look at that bridge picture for minutes. I like it so much. Now about that meteor. I quote:"But do not be alarmed. The asteroid will miss the planet by about 40,000 kilometers and the Acleis Cosmic Navy is on standby to destroy it if it does threaten the planet." Yeah right! Guess you want some ictures of those disasters that SC4 has standard. Have a great weekend. Nik-Nik
  12. Anduin Valley Revisited

John, my weekly reason for return to ST! Very nice, if not somewhat wet, update. I love the way you use the terrain features. That cyclepath going up and down without dips or peaks. I wish I had your eye for terrain. Great cycleway. I have just one comment. Figure I live in one of those new homes and I would like to bike down that great cyclepath. Where can I Never mind I have to look better! Happy house hunting and have a great weekend. Nik-Nik
  13. Shadow Assassin's Ensenada. Discover the mystery.

phew, I caught up finally. great story Book I. Loved every page of it. I am not sure though if the time line of Lucienne is the same as the one of the narrator or the councilman. It seems lucienne is down those shafts for days. Great stuff. I will be looking forward to Book II and the loose ties. Nik-Nik
  14. tilesetmod

I have been using this modd (or not as you yourself stated Tolomar) for over a year now. Very cool and great if you want some of those I-HT Maxis made buildings without the other stuff.
  15. Ahh Slann, no Eathquake can stop you. Nice to see those updates from Dominea again. Love the latest newpaper release. Nostalgia optima Forma. I am sorry that I did not check on Dominea earlier, but I am spending a lot of my time on SC4Devotion from Jeronij Looking forward to see more from you soon. Nik-Nik
  16. Roadtop Mass Transit V3 Installers

I am a big fan of the road top Mass transit. Thank you for the first version. Thank you for this one making life even easier.

Going for page 3. Amok is Malayan. Being Dutch I know quite a lot of those Indian / Malayan slang words as they are all throughout the dutch language. Funny to see that English and Dutch both adopted these words from their colonies. You've lost 7 pounds! Wow, gimme that soup diet! Pim is doing fine. Merrily playing and teasing his elder brother. So believe me I know what Amok means! No known sequel to the staircase adventure. In words of the famous Thrud the Barbarian http://www.carlcritchlow.com/Thrud1.html luckily his head broke the fall. But seriously, I am very glad that he is whole again and playing as a young boy should. The other day I had a riot in my city. My first one. I was so excited that I forgot to make pictures. Now to your CJ. As Dedgren said: "Ah, jaggies. The bane of my existence. If I could get my hands on the Maxis guy or gal who coded the sidewalks in this game... ...well, let's just say that we'd have a talk." Count me in with you David! The lay out of the road is very nice though! Nice curves she has Nice to see the use of those stream lots. Wouldn't a nice mill now used as a pub do well there? You know, for all those hard working HT Industrialists? Nice those industry buildings. Nice to see that you used Maxis buildings. In our complaint over Maxis buildings and the game we tend to forget that they made some nice HT builings (the wormy thing is great) Looking at the city square of Anôrien I am looking forward to a whole lotta Rosie (sorr it's Friday) development. Have a great weekend, John. Nik-Nik
  18. Anduin Valley Revisited

Welcome to page 134 (gosh that's a lot!) Hi John, Glad to see you back again. How's the soup-diet coming. Ha, ha, ha. Life's great isn't it. Friday I had my eldest son's birthday party with 9 of the little critters swarming over my house and I managed to survive that barely. Now about pic 13: I hope this link works: I mean that builidng Iguess it is a trailer hidden by a tree, but it's your CJ so you should know better. The new update: Great update John As ever. Very nice what you did with the radio station KLIV is a suitable name. I like the thing you did with the highway entrance/exit. It is the first time I see the diagonal street tool in action. Great builing that American Hardware supply! See you soon. Nik-Nik
  19. Shadow Assassin's Ensenada. Discover the mystery.

wow man! I really need to take some time to have a good look at these updates. For now I awe at that huge mosaic. Great work. Nik-Nik
  20. Anduin Valley Revisited

I am glad you are back and survived the season of greetings. Great work you showed us. I start from the top. Personally I do not find that big blue watertower fitting in this environment, it sticks out well though inthe overview picture (number 19). I love those irrigation canals, I do not ever see you sue the windmill that belongs to the canal set. Why not? Pic 13 great those little homes there, pity the trailer is also just around that tree, nice try in hiding it John, but I got it. I recommend buldozing that one. Farms look great, but in pic 15 there is a slight glitch on the field the brown underground shows through. Maybe a too steep incline? Nice to see the Vanderaap cottages. I do not see them in many CJ's. Notice how well the colour of the shutters match the crops........ ......yeah I know I am a details-freak (also in this year) Finally about parking those trailers, that's one thing, but to run your truck nose first into the sand is a whole other matter. take care John and keep on having fun. Nik-Nik BTW, did your son eat the house empty during Christmas diner?
  21. PARIS rue d Antin

Great start of the new year Porky. Thank you.
  22. Anduin Valley Revisited

Thank you John for your kind words. It's now 5th January but I guess it is still valid to wish you and your family a very, VERY nice 2007 with good health and lots of laughter and joy. Take care my friend. Nik-Nik
  23. AK's STEX Tribute City

So soon we had one page ful of comments on two words. Now already 1 1/2page full of comments on a single map (a good map indeed). This is going to be a large and I mean LARGE CJ. Nik-Nik
  24. Paradise Falls 1 created by jacqulina

Thank you for the Christmas pics. The bridges are gorgeous. The one wall is in this environment no problemo, it adds to the rurality of it all as in nothing being perfect. That bonus pic, is that you sitting on the bench? Nik-Nik
  25. Gold Depra - An Empire of Greed

Excellent map Choco. Have a great Christmas and a wonderfull entry into 2007. Nik-Nik
