What a great idea for an update. Love the newspaper article, of course.... You did a great job with the AVISO comlex. From the water towers to the on site watering hole. It also looks like there are some on site dormatories there for the workers.... The sign looks great as well. I have come to expect no less from the Man.... Have a great weekend, I'll catch up with you on Sunday night or Monday. D

Man, this story keeps getting better and better. I think you chose the perfect place to end this one....and hey, if you can't find a way to tie this into the rest of the CJ, I'll keep reading whatever you write....you know as you finish the book

Greater Marsalia Region, City at the Mediterranean
dhoppeii replied to Mickebear's topic in SC4 City Journals
I can tell from the region shot, this is gonna be a good one. Look forward to the next update. -
As always, love that region shot. Do you plan to make anymore islands? Really like that whole transportation type pic there. The El Line and the parking structures with the roads leading underground. Just perfect. You can even see some graphitti (sp?) down there. I look forward to seeing how this little area develops.

RHF - Great update my man. I love the continuing story and today hit home pretty hard for me anyway. Last year I lost my Grandfather, who was alot like Jonah is. You summed up the way I felt/feel about him to this day. Thank you for allowing me to reflect for a few moments. The pics are great and your use of that tarmac set is still top notch. I also really like the layout and feel of Whispering Hills. Look forward to more.... Regards, dhoppe

Really like the park and the development around it. I like how the rail line goes under the park. Great Update
-
Wonderful looking layout. I love all the PEG Seasonal Trees....
-
aldara - Again a fantastic continuation. I sure hope that you are keeping all of these entries in a Word document on your computer. It may be worth putting the whole story together when it is done. I can't wait to find out what happens and where this English speaking man came from. Yeah, that movie line sounds like something that Obi-Wan would have said....Is Darmok right? Deep Six is a great book, well, they are all great books but that one is really good. Did either of you see Sahara in theaters? Later, dhoppe

Great update. Love that first pic.......BTW, the answer to your first question - Absolutely Nothing
-
Looks great lookinin....I really like the gated parking lot in the first pic and the other shots along Front St., 2nd St. and Main St. look great. I think you really achieved that small town Main street feel here.
-
What amazing region shots. It looks just as you would expect in RL.....Big City near the water and smaller more rural type communities the farther away you get.
-
Another great update. I love how the farms are looking, but I can't express how much I like those signs. It's just one of those things that really add to the character of a CJ. Great Job
-
Great Looking development. I really like how you fill in the areas with the PEG trees.....
-
Hey D., you know, I like what your are doing here. The little outlined area of development first. Nice touch and pretty cool to see what the before area looks like. Nice job with the parking lot. I really like the placement as well. Very close to the rail station. Is that a baby little soccer field...? Isn't it cute Again, weaving the tarmac set through the res. area is brilliant.... I really like your neighborhood layout here as well. Nicely done. The Twin Hotels look fantastic....'nuff said there. Wonderful job with the Mayor's Hill Park.... You know, if I didn't know any better I would think you are finally getting the hang of playing this game Have a good one buddy, D
-
Well, you got me there. It seems like I should know this one. I definately recognize it, but alas, cannot place it. Perhaps my esteemed useless trivia pal, Darmok will know the answer. The pics look fantastic BTW.
