  1. RLS Small Shops

Finally, real small shops! Excellent as always!
  2. Del Taco

Outstanding as always. They are not in my area, but my Simcities will have them now!
  3. Ocean Point

And the fun continues! I-368 reminds me a bit of I-195 in Maryland, which is a spur off I-95 that services a few local exits but whose main role ultimately is to service BWI Airport. The separate exits within the airport for cargo, parking, etc., are nice too.
  4. Miramonte-Guinevere Metro Area

I think I've complimented you on your road layout before, but I'll do it again. You've got a nice freeway layout, but you've also got a very good and realistic-looking layout of other major arterials (the importance of which I think a lot of people overlook).
  5. Ocean Point

Really just wonderful. I've been planning all along to do an exit guide for Downingsford once there is a comprehensive freeway system. Right now I'm just settling for one exit at a time, but I'm really glad you're doing a comprehensive one. And you're right about even-numbered 3-digit interstates generally having two junctions with its parent (odd-numbered ones generally have one junction), although there are many exceptions.

The high tech industry and low-rise commerce look great in the wealthy suburban areas. For the farm question, I've been playing around with the new BSC Farming EP as well, so I was actually asking if you knew specifically what crops or plants those bright red field were, because I thought I had dl'ed all the fields. I should have explained that better.
  7. Turnwood

Always so much misery around here... seems like cemetary space must come at a premium BTW those tar-sealed streets look quite nice by the rowhomes.
  8. Calivada State

I'm actually curious, what are those bright red fields that you have here and there? I haven't seen them yet, and I'm wondering if maybe there's a set of fields I don't have, or I just haven't gotten them to grow yet. Looks excellent as always. Your road layouts in the countryside are really nice and idyllic-looking.
  9. Riverdale- Battling the Mighty Akashi River

Center city areas are looking great. At a glance, your expressway system looks to be very well set up.
  10. Ocean Point

EXIT GUIDE!!! I don't think I have to tell you how happy I am!! Here's a present for you, to show my appreciation: Can't wait for more!
  11. Goldenrod Plains

I always love the small town sprawling into suburbs kind of development. Coming along keenly!
  12. Miramonte-Guinevere Metro Area

Is this a region-wide issue? Generally when I get a problem like this, I'll play the neighboring cities extensively, as much as they can (or as I would like) them to grow, and then I'll come back and see if things change. Other than that, I don't know.
  13. Santa Barbara County

I was beginning to wonder about SB! I'm glad it's still alive and well. Your road construction updates are always excellent.
  14. Caspen 2: New Waverly Revisited

It all looks very nice. Great highway interchange designs, as usual!
  15. New Haven, CT CJ

Transportation network updates are fun! I like your farm shots from a few days back as well.
  16. Thistlewood

mmm... tropical fruits in Oregon... Seriously, it's been a while since I've dropped in here, and I'm glad things are up and running. Such great stories out of the most simplistic of in-game-images!
  17. Calivada State

Gotta love those new farms!! That region shot is quite impressive; everything flows together very nicely.
  18. Ocean Point

Dude, you're going through a page like every couple days now! How cool is that! I like the map (of course )
  19. Nice placement of the highway to accomodate future growth. Maybe some day it will be an urban freeway? That would be kinda neat to see.
  20. Sun Valley, a Bobinator city journal

Hmm... I haven't seen this in a bit.... That's bad of me... To answer your question, since I riddle my pictures with MS Painted labels as well, I definitely like it! I like the hub-and-spoke layout of your subway system. Here's why specifically I like your suburbs: they are fairly regular-looking, with the more-or-less uniform 1-by-x layout, but without being boring to look at, because you change things up every so often--major roads now and then, rotating the long side of the block, etc. I'm a fan of the long block as well, although generally I prefer between 2 and 5 tiles wide, and about two to four times as long (roughly speaking...) All in all, excellent!
  21. Ocean Point

I especially liked the last few shots of West Bay in your previous update. Such a pretty wealthy area, and then the juxtaposition of seeing East Bayville right after that is very interesting. If I know you at all from what I've seen here so far, I imagine that you showed us those two in order on purpose?
  22. Calivada State

Nice little dam there; interesting idea! That transportation map looks cool, and up close the southwest suburbs look grand, as others have said. Also, I really like that you showed us the difference between the new shopping areas along Main Street and the old downtown area; makes it feel like a real town with sprawl in the surrounding areas. PS - My 200th post! (not to infringe upon your territory...)
  23. Miramonte-Guinevere Metro Area

Yes, nice sprawl indeed. Uptown Guinevere looks quite nice, just the right amount of taller buildings, not too overwhelming. Keep it up!
  24. Preview of Felton my first serieous CJ

Looks it took a lot of work to get all that land terraformed and farmed. I'm looking forward to seeing further development!
  25. Calivada State

The flow outward looks quite nice to me.
