I'll try them. NetNITCO said to e-mail my requirements after January 3rd since they are re-evaluating their mirror program due to space constraints. Evolucix gave me a sponsored VPS to host the site on, and ProviderService has not e-mailed back. However, a company called SolidShellSecurity donated 2 mirrors in Dallas and NYC.
  4. Linux Corner

Thanks. I've got 3 possible mirrors waiting to call me or e-mail me back. No response from any of them so far. I'm putting that out of the way so I have multiple places to host the beta. I have these locations lined out so far: Kansas City. MO (main mirror) Hebron, IN (NetNITCO, pending) Dallas, TX (Evolucix/Colo4Dallas, pending) Germany (ProviderService, pending)

Not again! Well, yes again. I'm restarting my distro project, for good this time. The reason I stopped is because Arch kept changing things, but seems to have slowed down, so I can work without changing things again. The aim of my Linux OS is to be like your typical "easy-use" Linux, such as Ubuntu, but no clutter that upsets the Linux community. Here's the URL: http://simplewarelinux.org/index.php
  6. Waiting for important e-mails is so nerve-racking. Oh also, happy b-day ST! :D

  7. Sigh, why do these school shootings happen? They stopped a possible shooting here in Indiana on the SAME DAY: http://www.wthr.com/story/20356762/indiana-man-with-47-guns-arrested-after-school-threat

  8. Yet another school shooting.

I don't like very long posts, so I'm just gonna say this is horrible and we need to try and make it harder for such things to happen again. Also, dunno if anyone posted this yet, but they stopped a potential school shooting the same day, IN MY STATE: http://www.wthr.com/story/20356762/indiana-man-with-47-guns-arrested-after-school-threat
  9. SUZAKU'S ANIME AVATAR OF THE NOW: Bleach. Hollow Ichigo to be exact. xD

  10. Your Looks

What do you look like? Do you want to change it somehow? I'm pretty nerdy (glasses and causal attire), however, if I get rid of my glasses, I wanna get my hair like this anime character (blonde mohawk with black/brown sides): http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mcja1cZPyZ1rhvq0do2_250.jpg. I don't know why but it just seems awesome. xD

  12. The Beer Thread

Guessing it's kinda inappropriate me posting here, since I'm under 21, but I know that Indiana has like one big brewer (Sun King I think it's called). It's out of Indianapolis, is all I know. Anyways, I don't plan to drink too much once I'm of legal age. From what I've gathered from tasting non-alcoholic beer, it's kinda got a weird taste. Is beer similar?
  13. I assume it's the same as 7. Command Prompt shows it's version 6.2.9200, but yeah someone post the debug log the first you get an exception report.
  14. CTD on Windows 8

Off topic, but does WOW (Windows on Windows) or whatever it's called work with 16-bit programs now? I miss my SimTower, but it won't run on a 64-bit OS.

  16. Desktop.. Everyone has one of these!

It's my hometown, Indianapolis. And yes I have Windows 8, I know, it's terrible, imo it's fine.
  17. CTD on Windows 8

I'm honestly not sure. I run 8 and it runs fine. I have a ATI Radeon HD 4250, so similar cards.
  18. Pellington is the capital of the Republic of Pelling. As of 2010, the city's population is at around 100,000, as the country does not have an official census. Despite being the nation's capital, the city is somewhat smaller than other cities in the country (for example, San Maria to the north has around 1.5 million people). It was founded in the 1800's after moving the nation's capital from Zellerburg. Pellington is home to the country's major employer, Pellington Computers, a leading manufacturer of personal computing and cellular phone products. The city does not have a mayor, however, is governed by country president Duncan Smith, as Pellington is the country capital. This is Pellington's location on a map: Pictures will be posted below. Coming soon, Part 1: Pellington's Start!
  19. Pellington - The Capital Of Pelling

Thanks! Anyways, here we go. As you can tell, Pellington developed massively at first. Here is your average neighborhood in Pellington: Pellington government never really paid attention to parks until the 1900's when pollution started to get bad. This is Smith Park, Pellington's only park until about 1952 or 1953:
  20. Teach us your culture

mind if i tell u about my state instead? ok. Indiana was founded as a state on December 11, 1816. It was the 19th state in the United States. It's name means "Land of the Indians" or "Indian Land", as many Native American tribes lived here. People from Indiana are often called Hoosiers. Indianapolis is the state capital, and has been since 1820, before that it was Corydon. Some fun facts about Indiana: Singers Michael Jackson, John Mellencamp, and Axl Rose are all from Indiana. The Garfield comic strip is made in Albany, Indiana, in the eastern part of the state near Muncie. Late-night comedian David Letterman is from the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis. We used to be the state that makes the most popcorn but Nebraska took over that place a few years back. Indianapolis served as host for the NFL final game of the season, the Superbowl, in 2012. Nobody is quite sure what Hoosier actually means, but there are several stories on how the term originated.
  21. LOL so my new VPS wouldn't activate last night so i called the webhost only to get a voicemail, which i didnt leave. the next day i get a call from Los Angeles, and it was them. xD

  22. US Cities with buildings 1000+ feet

Indianapolis doesn't really have 1000+ feet buildings, but we do have the WTTV 4 Tower, the tallest structure in Indiana which is at exactly 1,000 ft. It's south of Indianapolis in Trafalgar, Indiana, and currently is the transmitter home to two stations: WTTV (CW affiliate, Indiana's 4), and WTTS-FM (92.3 WTTS, alt-rock station). Here's a picture of it:
  23. Linux Corner

Just tried it and got the Apache 2 test page. Something has gone sour over there. Server got screwed up, had to request an OS re-install. It'll be back in about an hour hopefully.
  24. Linux Corner

Hey, I started my Linux distribution project again. If you wanna see about it, look at http://simplewarelinux.org/.
