  1. Windows 8 and SimCity?

Can you not just do "Windows XP SP3" compatbility? Yeah, but it'd be more buggy (not that I've tested it much). A lot of programs which stopped working after Vista required Windows Server 2003 compatibility, not XP. And that's around when SC4 stopped working 100%.
  2. Windows 8 and SimCity?

SimCity 4 works, but it needs to be played in Windows Server 2003 compatibility mode. Right click on the shortcut, and on the program's name in its jumplist, and click on "Properties." The resulting window will have a "Compatibility" tab. Pick Windows Server 2003, and it should work fine. Playing without compatibility mode on works too, but crashes a lot (at least for me.) SimCity Societies works fine on Windows 8.
