  1. Franklin Notch

    Thanks for the link, algis242!
  2. Simfanatik's Workshop !

Wow, your plane is way better. I agree with Jim's suggestion. You have made tons of automata, so it would be cool to see everything in one place.
  3. Simfanatik's Workshop !

I can't say that I know what the original looks like, but your new fire plane looks great! I'm especially fond of your new school buses as well. I hope you'll keep your things on ST.
  4. Franklin Notch

I just stumbled across Franklin Notch, and I have to say that I'm very impressed! I'll definitely be looking forward to more. I have a question about Update 6. What is that building you are using as the Advanced Engineering School? I don't think I've seen that one before. Keep up the great work!

Additionally, each tile of farm field provides a small number of jobs - usually 1 to 3 workers per tile. You can clearly see this if you route query a large farm. All field workers enter through the main structure. Out buildings for other types of industry function the same way.
  6. Demand Caps

Check out the information in this thread at SC4D: sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php It's a detailed explanation of the Demand Simulator, but you can just read the section on Demand Satisfied. This is the property you need to change to increase the demand cap relief.

  9. simpeg-forum-threads SPAM Irrigation Canals

Those really look great, Reba. I think this is your best canal set yet! Are you using the PPond water texture? I'd second the request for a piece to connect to the PPond canals. Also, are there pump or windmill lots that produce water included? They're a realistic way to provide water in a rural area. I think I see one in the images above, but I figured I would ask now.
  10. Canal addon mode

There should be a readme file that was installed with the CAN-AM. It has a detailed tutorial on how to build functional canals with the CAN-AM. If you can't find the readme file, check out this thread on SC4D. It should help.
  11. Over Road Elevatated Rail Station Issue

Originally posted by: walden I thought something like that. I saw two other posts not exactly the same but I get it. Thank you. quote> This is a bug in the game, so the NAM version has no effect. The NAM Team did find a trick to reduce this bug with the GLR pieces, but I believe it involves transit enabling with one-way roads so that particular fix is not applicable to El Rail over Road. Whenever you are hovering with a puzzle piece, there is a possibility of a crash if the puzzle piece preview touches another transit enabled item. Since stations are larger, they are harder to work with than the single-tile network pieces. The stations will work, but you have to be extremely careful when placing them. It's best to place the station first, then build the track connections on either side. I usually zoom in extremely close so I can be sure not to touch anything that would cause a crash. And of course, save early and often - because you will crash no matter how careful you are. It can be a pain, but it's the price we pay for the new networks in the NAM.
  12. It sounds like you have a widescreen monitor, so this is normal behavior. As an older game, SC4 doesn't support widescreen resolutions. Windows 7 seems to preserve the resolution settings where Vista stretched it to fit the monitor. I don't know if there is a setting in Windows, but you can use unsupported resolutions by starting SC4 with the proper command-line option. You can check this thread for more information: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=24&threadid=94410&enterthread=y&STARTPAGE=1#1263620 Just be warned that this can cause problems, but you just have to edit the SC4 shortcut back to the original if it doesn't work properly.
  13. SC4 Mapper with Vista???

If you have Vista, you likely do not have the required DirectX 9 files. Go to the Microsoft site to download and install the latest version.
  14. Tram Issues

Which tram addon do you have? Is is the SFBT GLR Tram Mod or Vester's GLR Tram Mod? The SFBT Tram Mod contain a file that suppresses the el-rail automata. You have to delete the file BSC_SFBT_glr_light_rail_no_el-train-automata.dat to see the el-rail automata again. You will have default el-rail trains running on GLR tracks without this file, so you will probably want to install one of the many custom trams available. Vester's GLR Tram Mod comes in two versions. All trams in Vol 01 are modded as single-unit trams. You must install a tram from Vol 02 for multi-unit trams. You can only have one replacement automata installed at any given time. I hope this answers your question. If not, please be more specific about what you have installed.
  15. Ped Malls are network-enabled puzzle pieces, just like the puzzle pieces for road, rail, etc in the NAM. This means that they operate just like draggable networks, but in this case it is a pedestrian network. Puzzle pieces are different from lots. Lots with transit enabling cannot be placed next to each other to form a contiguous network. If you have a plaza piece that is transit enabled for pedestrians, you will not see pedestrian traffic move from one lot to the next - but they can cross the lot as long as there is road access on more than one side.
  16. Heblem's BAT Workshop

I'm looking forward to more of your wonderful creations, Heblem.
  17. McDRye tries BAT again..

This is really fantastic work, mcdrye. I'm looking forward to these!
  18. This is a known bug with the game, which unfortunately can not be fixed by the community. If you hover a puzzle piece over a transit-enabled lot, the game will crash to desktop. Elevated rail over road is the puzzle piece and the station is the transit-enabled lot. The only solution is to be very careful in placing these items - and of course, save your city before you start playing with puzzle pieces. I would recommend that you place the station first, then carefully build the elevated rail on road around the station. I hope this helps.
  19. SC4 Extra Cheats DLL

It doesn't work on a Mac because a DLL is Windows executable code. There is no Mac version of this, sorry.
  20. NAM: rail on road

Your road is not connected to the underpass lot. You need to drag the road into the underpass lot as far as it will go on both sides to activate the paths. Check out the details on how to place and use the underpasses in the readme.

Being registered at SC4D alone is not enough, but you will use the same user and password for the exchange once registered. You register HERE. Use the POWER SEARCH function on the LEX and set LEX Category = NAM to find the various NAM files. There are a few add-ons in addition to the main NAM.
  22. I'm definitely interested! Your initial work looks great. If I may make a suggestion, I think the Center Pole Ped Mall piece could definitely use a facelift. It looks too repetitive if you use more than a few together. I have actually removed the pole altogether, but I sure you could do something really cool with T21's. And as Andreas said, draggable ped malls would be really, really cool...

  24. Freight Containers!

You can download the BSC MEGA Props Gascooker Vol01 here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=397 This file contains volumes 1 through 9 of the original Gascooker prop packs. You will need to register and receive an email activation before you are allowed to download from this site.
  25. Reliant Stadium

How did you split these? Parts 2 and 3 are not standard ZIP files and will not open for me. If you used WinZip or some other program to do the splitting, only the same program can reassemble the parts. Can you please post in a format compatible for everyone?
