  3. Back after a while...

Oh... So I haven't been the only one that has had this happen to me... My computer went bust too... I lost all my regions which of course includes my cities and plugins. D: If you want to know how to do certain things, just look around on the website -- you'll be surprised at the amount of help and data you get around here!
  4. Please tell me your computer specifications (Mainly the RAM, HD size, ram for video card, number of cores), operating system, options ticked in the properties tab when you right-click Simcity4.exe and the options ticked within the program itself -- Simcity 4.
  5. If that company isn't, then I might! It depends on the future status of the world in the future upcoming years. If it is bad, I will continue my other dream of software development for computers. This could be for robotics or for city-building simulators. People who know capitalism and read books about many countries that succeed and fail, including experience in coding in C or C++ would be invaluable for the project. I'll keep the name I have in store for that possible future game to myself. Remember, you need knowledgeable people who know about real-life cities and how to make them succeed to create a true successor to Simcity 4. Simcity 4 is simply too awesome to surpass with some game that doesn't even look good from the buyers' point of view.
  6. Woah. Nice argument! I agree with you, all the way! EA's image is really degrading right now... I think the reason they are excluding a bunch of the ideas and items from Simcity 4 is because all the smart developers left. I don't think the current developers there know exactly what they are doing. That is probably one of the reasons Simcity Societies was an epic failure -- the smart people left! Making a successful city-building game is truly a challenge to behold and the knowledge and skills required to create a game similar to Simcity 4 better yet, a successor to Simcity 4 will take some skill. I'm telling you that making Simcity 4's successor will be no easy task. - Modding should be allowed. - Capitalism should be the ideal idea employed. - More control over budgets. - Beautiful graphics - Flexible system - Ability to utilize dual, quad, 8 core and so on... (Simcity Societies was complete crap and utilized one core.) - Ability to utilize RAM better. (Give us the option to increase or decrease the amount of RAM being used. Add some tips to help us do it.) - The ability to see different cities together in one map. (That would be awesome if possible.) - Tip system (Useful tips) - Be written in C/C++ code (This will almost ensure you have a solid and stable game for C/C++ code is some powerful stuff.) - Auto save feature. (Give us the ability to turn this off/on as this may get annoying for some people when they are trying to destroy their cities. lol) - More god mode tools! - More disaster options! (Maybe you can throw in different magnitudes for Earthquakes, such as magnitude 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 , 9 and so on.) - External/internal program that will allow us to easily add modifications to the game. - Achievements aren't needed and if they hinder your progress, trash the idea or simply work harder! - You shouldn't force the game to be solely based around multi-player. The people with bad connections and ping will find difficulties in using them possibly infuriating them or preventing them from playing in the first place. You should ask during installation whether the user wants to use multi-player or single-player as their base. Of course, give them the option to play multi-player, but this isn't required! - Lastly, if you're going to force multi-player as the main base for the game such as Blizzard has for Starcraft 2, don't force us to pay a monthly fee or you will surely lose A TON of players, including me. If you're going to ask for a monthly fee for playing multi-player, I recommend that you make multi-player a side option. That will be all.
  7. Happy Valley-Goose Bay - Canada
