    Thank you everyone for your comments. I agree the cameras are too big when compared to the other game objects (by about 50%) but when I rendered the original scale model, you couldn't actually tell what it was supposed to be!

    Another quick little project. A 1x1 CCTV position for targeting crime hotspots. Each unit has a smaller area of effect than a police kiosk, but a stronger effect within that area. Remember, Big Brother is watching you...

    thanks for the advice on the textures - I did try a yellow tint, but on closer analysis (looking at Art Deco property around the UK) the strong clean white seemed to be a better fit. The actual texture is a white grained stone, but of course you lose some of the definition when it renders.

    An Art Deco style house, because that's my favourite architectural period and I thought I'd try to create an original work rather than duplicating another building in the real world. Contained in the zip file are a 6x4 residential growable property and a 6x7 landmark. Shame you can't see the stained glass window I spent hours designing by the front door, but I know it's there and it makes me happy!

    Pardon my ignorance, this is my first post on SimMars, but the mod looks incredibly exciting. I have a few sci-fiesque models which I've built in the year since I started using gmax - can anyone contribute or do you have to be attached to the project?

    Nice to see such attention to detail on a lot which doesn't necessarily draw the eye in like a skyscraper. Most of the banks I know in buildings like this have been turned into restaurants now though!

    There is no custom query for this yet, but you should notice an effect on air pollution within a relatively short time. I've never tested it right next to a power station, but it certainly works when used in industrial zones and next to busy road intersections.

    My first attempt with BAT - a ploppable air scrubber. Good for removing atmospheric pollution, but has no effect on water. There's no such thing as a free lunch though, and this drinks like a fish, so be ready with a few more water pumps. Works effectively on the edge of districts to "ring-fence" pollution.
