  1. Chicago BAT Project

The Intercontinental Hotel? Formerly the Medinah Athletic Club. It is probably one of the most Ignored post war skyscrapers in Chicago and one of my favorites.
  2. Chicago BAT Project

    Carbon and Carbide Building?
  3. Creationism vs. Evolution

The theory of evolution is not a substitute for creation. The theory of evolution states how species have come to exist, not how life began. Both could be true, a cell was created and after that evolved into its present forms. The point is that you can't debunk creationism with evolution. They are completely unrelated subjects.
  4. Maxis AMAA Transcript

I like how in Sim City 4 you could choose different architectural styles for the buildings in your cities. I really hope that they have something like that in this new one. I would like to see it expanded back in time farther so you could build a city that would look like it developed for a long period of time unlike Sim City 4 where the development starts only around the beginning of the 20th Century. If they do something like that in the new one, I hope they expand the in game building variety. If I was to create a "1890's Chicago Style" town, the downtown would primarily consist of Ham LLC's and King Designs. It would also be great if they could update the models for the SC3K sky scrapers, I loved the art-deco look of them. Another thing about the buildings, it would be great if they could create multiple building styles for schools, fire stations, etc. to add more variety too your neighborhoods. Finally in SC4, I rarely built elevated rail or monorail systems because they took up too much room. I live near Chicago and I don't see why Maxis did not enable them to be built over streets like in real cities. Other than those nitpicks I'm pretty optimistic about the game.
  5. The Next Person...

Yes, I play against my cousin all the time. The next person played sc3k unlimited.
  6. I like the Chicago Union Station's waiting room.
  7. Gare Du Nord and Chicago Union Station are my favorites.
  8. Worst City Planning

I believe the worst city planning is in modern subdivisions. Narrow, dead end, and confusing windy streets puzzle me. why build those when you can have a grid pattern that is easy to get through. Another bad planning issue are the interstates. if it wasn't for them Chicago and LA wouln't have stand still traffic and people would be more inclined to use mass transit. (just thinking about the structures destroyed by those massive parkinglots depresses me)
  9. School Pack Volume Two BSC

Please make more civic building packs! I need more civic buildings with early 20th century architecture. Good job making these, I couldn't make anything as detailed as you.
