Does it have to be a freeway highway connection, or is a controlled access non grade separated highway an option? -
My latest creation, a massive interchange comprised of 4 smaller interchanges. I was inspired but an area in my town that is dire need of an upgrade. While stuck in traffic I came up with something and wanted to model it. click for full size(warning:Huge)

My favorite creations, I don't have the patience for downloading enough lots/bats to make good looking cities, and instead spent my time on making what i consider to be realistic looking interchanges. Being restricted to a grid makes that a little harder, but you work with what you've got. First: An original interchange second: A not quite recreation of the I-85/I-40 split on the east side of Greensboro NC. Some minor changes were made to make it work in simcity. Third: Another original interchange, this one is "under cunstruction" as i wait to see what kind of overpass and entrance/exit ramp support is added in NAM31, otherwise it will become an expressway+collectors. Fourth: the interchange of I-85/I-485 on the west side of charlotte NC, left out a basket weave diamond on the west side.

I don't ever build enough into a region to get to urban areas. I spend all my time seeing just what RHW is capable of, given all the space it needs. Natural slopes, and smooth curves. Reproduction of an interchange in my area I've been in love with since it opened a few years back. EDIT: after some modifications to make it closer to the original, including the addition of a neighboring junction.

A nice big interchange with some smaller junctions as well. Labels included to clear things up(hopefully).

I must admit, cities xl got much more fun with the RHW mod for it. you just can't make that scale in sim city 4 =/

RHW is the only custom content, but here's a little industrial park on the edge of one of my towns that I've proud of.
