I`ve allready downloaded the map Black Sea. I made a request to residentsim per PM after I saw his Somewhere in Northern China. He made a too large region (for SC4) into a playable map. Scaled down, not 100% accurate. An interresting map with plenty of coastal areas for my seaports, marinas etc. A big thanks to residentsim for fullfilling my request .

What is the best way to make a sucessful transport system with grids?
The Baptist replied to ScarcticCG's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Originally posted by: ScarcticCG Actually, London is on the opposite side of the country to Cheltenham, and the M5 doesn't run through Cheltenham like it would a big city. And regardless, Birgingham and Bristol weren't designed like big cities (because of the industrial revolution).quote> I know, but it is still just a two hour drive on the M4 to London. Didn`t know about Birmingham and Bristol. Thought them to be designed more modern. I`ll be quiet from now on Good luck with Cheltenham FC vs Accrington today. -

Cheltenham got the M5 running just outside it? You are located not far from Bristol, Birmingham and London? I suggest you check maps for these cities. For tips and inspiration visit the CJ`s (City Journals). I`ve learned a lot from reading these. -

Love this kind of buildings, and the story is great! 5/5 Did a google search on "77 Water Street", came up with two sites showing the plane: http://www.flickr.com/photos/phrenologist/31351067/sizes/l/in/dateposted/ http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v=2&ss=77%20water%20street%20ny%20ny&cp=40.703735~-74.006443&style=o&lvl=2&scene=1678990&sp=adr.77%20Water%20St%2c%20New%20York%2c%20NY%2010005

Thank you for explaining MattShizzle. I`ll try to find a map with (dont know the english word) a scalebar/ruler, so I can decide the distances on the map.

Ok, thanks anyway blade2k5. I`ll try some other mapteam.

Hi blade2k5. Impressing work you do! You`ve provided me with hours, actually weeks and months counting the hours, with joy playing your maps. Thank you! Now I`m ready for a new challenge. I have a request for a map... I love playing maps with shorelines. Not too big (many cityblocks), please. Request: A map showing the Black Sea with surrounding land. Only big cityblocks, please. On Wikipedia: Black Sea I took the liberty to cut out what I would like to see. Same map showing a proposed grid showing the cityblocks. The Bosporous strait connecting the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea could maybe be made more clearly (as I`ve done in these screenshots). Well, I guess you`ve got better maps to look at.... I belive this map would appeal to others as well. A lot of coastal areas and great terrain. There is so much great custom stuff to download creating seaports, marinas etc. If my proposed grid isn`t possible, feel free to make adjustments. I would be delighted if you, or others, in the NHP Team could do this! Thank you! Best regards The Baptist (Mayor)

Hi masi_23. Have you read the Omnibus? You might find some answeres there. Originally posted by: masi_23 After installing a few more plugins, i noticed that whenever i buy and build parks, there's no animations like the water fountains. Other examples: 'small park' and 'medium park' is missing its trees and benches (props) What's wrong? quote> As SC4BOY says in the post above, its most likely you miss some dependencies. Search the file you`ve downloaded again on the STEX. Read the description, most likely the dependencies are listed here. If not, hopefully the creator/uploader have included a "readme file" in the .zip-file that tells you wich dependencies you need for this to work/show up properly. A dependencies list and where to find them: www.sc4devotion.com/dependencies.html Other sites to download stuff from: SimPeg: simpeg.com/forum/index.php sc4devotion: www.sc4devotion.com/ LEX: sc4devotion.com/csxlex/ You have to register an account on every one of these sites. Definitely worth it! Best regards The Baptist (Mayor) -

Somewhere I read that this was a common problem. So I`ve learned to save the game before placing these. Terrible to loose hours of work... -
Hi hu51. For maps I recomend the "NHP Map Catalog". Those guys are just amazing! Link: www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm

You`re the best guys! That was fast replies from both of you. That did the trick! Removed the options for blocking pop-ups in FF. Thank you both!

To JanYpe: I`m using Firefox. My IE is not working properly. And I don`t care. Firefox rules. The PM pop-up don`t show when I try to send PM`s. Is this a known problem with Firefox? A way to work-around this in FF? Can`t find any post by the person in mind. So I cant do what you say in your number one. Best regards The Baptist (Mayor) Edit: I received a PM from a moderator because of masked swearing. I stand corrected. I`m sorry about that. Edited inappropriate language

Hi all! Thought I should contribute to the statistics. I am 39 years old, from Norway. Played SimCity several years ago (SC3000?). Was that on an early stage of Nintendo? Can`t remember. Bought my copy of SC4 RH on an impulse when I saw it. Playing the game when I have some spare time. And enjoying it! Tired of other games like 1. person shooters and stuff like that. Not very rewarding anymore. Too old for that now. Its getting boring with age I guess. Working from home now. Free to organize my own time. Always got time for some citybuilding :-) Another game I enjoy is the Football Manager (FM09), (used to be Championship Manager). Played every season since it came on Amiga in 91/92. Keep it up guys! Best regards The Baptist (Mayor)
