Date: 9/15/2004 8:17:57 PM Author: Karybdis hence the random GIDs are not completely trustworthyquote> This is also what causes the messed up black box problem for BATs. Whenever the randomly-generated BAT IIDs happen to equal RUL bit-flags, you get zoom-1 network textures replacing your BAT-generated ones. I had to fix this manually on my Water Tower BAT, so I changed the ROTATION digit on all zoom-5 day textures to A. EDIT: If possible, I'd like to reserve AF1x to AF5x. I don't see myself creating more than 89 different textures, so someone else can use the other two/thirds of the AFxx block.

You know, I think you might be able to add texture references to a type-21 network lot. This way, you can put true textures beneath puzzle pieces. Ima gonna go try it out now... *runs to other computer meant for SC4*

I don't know about TL (he might just be terraforming), but I used the one on the STEX blown up to 132% of original size. I had to resize and re-create the region several times to get the size right, but 132% should work.

Date: 1/4/2005 3:26:25 AM Author: kingarthur_kom If Bigredfish is listening... How about a Chicago area Metra train? and CTA? quote> Shhhhh... I can get you what you need. Don't tell anyone I'm self-promoting in Trolca's thread... I really like your Bay Line set. It does my heart good to see the ASAB in SC4. Plus, since Bay Line is so generic, most people can find a way to use it.

In1871, the Water Tower and its adjoining Water Works were the onlystructures to survive the Great Chicago Fire. Today, the areaaround the Water Tower is a major center of upscale shopping and livingknown as the "Magnificent Mile".Thisworks as a "vanilla" landmark, so no jobs or transit-enablinghere. What it will do is boost your desirability and mayorrating. Thiscool modd will plant trees along your low-density residentialstreets. You can choose what wealth levels you want it to appearat. NOTE: You MUST read the Readme to ensure proper functioning of this modd. There are two versions of this modd. One uses Pegasus' SeasonalTrees, the other uses only the original Maxis-made trees. On bothmodds, there is an option for NO PALMS. This option should beused in place of Swamper77's No Palms Modd. Unfortunately, due to the way the game works, these trees will only appear on newly-built streets. Dependencies: Pegasus' Seasonal Trees (for that version). -
You need the MDL exporter plugin for gmax. Install it in your gmax/gamepacks/BAT/scripts/startup folder. Export your model to mdl format. Type 1 in the frames window. Once you have your scene in mdl format, download Deep Exploration. It's not free, but the trial is full-featured. This has a full-fledged renderer, but you can also export to 3ds.

I've already made one like Dexter suggested. I'll try to get some screenshots out.

Is it possible to create a puzzle-piece as a splitter for multi-highways? I've already done the basic modelling for one, but if it doesn't work, it'd be kinda pointless.

That Monadnock looks great. I was thinking, someone should really model that. If I have time, I might do BoT for you. jt - I just have to do night-lighting. One more thing, TheeLord - the newest version of the Network Addon Mod lets you put Elevated Rail over Road, like it should be. And I think LaSalle and State should be avenues. Other than that, your layout looks good. I also use a standard size of 6x6 with variations.

I was always planning to do the BoT . .lol . . You should get Marrast to do it. It has the same sort of weathering that the Battersea does, and Marrast already has a texture library. Theelord: Currently, I have dibs on: Lake Point Tower Both Prudentials Smurfit-Stone Building And my already-existing releases.

OK, modelling and lighting is done on the Santa Fe building. I'd share, but I can't render a preview.. I have also finished modelling on another building. It's pretty local to Chicago, and once I get it rendered, I'll post it here. EDIT: Here it is. -
What the hey. In middle school, I won ours twice. I'll take the number 13 spot.

smoncrie: sorry I didn't get back to you, but I cant send PMs for some reason or other since the 4.0 change. Thanks for telling me the 15m height. I didn't know, mine is currently at about 17m. As soon as I re-render it with a lower deck, I'll mail it to you. The main difference is that it uses a retaining wall meant to blend with PEG's CDK pieces. This blends in much better in an industrial area.

The Portland & Oregon BAT Team, Chapter 1
ardecila replied to sparkythepenguin's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
It's the Demand Created/Satisfied property. It contains pairs of values. The first value in each pair (and thus all odd-numbered reps) is the Demand ID. This roughly is Type of Job. The second value is the number or jobs. SG's plop tutorial contains a spreadsheet with the different demand IDs.
