i think the desasters should come with the climate, or the region. Like Volcanos only in the mountinous areas,as well as avalanches, rock slides, and Earthquakes. And in a low lying area with a river, floods would happon in the winter and spring, not like huge floods but swelling. In citys by the ocean there should be a "high tide" and very rarely tsunamis, and in ocean Citys in a tropical envirnment ther should be Huricanes. Fires and car wrecks of coures everywhere. UFO should come only in Years obove 2100. they should also be random generated and placeable
