  1. Have I hit a demand cap?

Downloads are tricky, very...make sure you have all dependencies, otherwise it will never work properly. If you have all the dependencies, well then...I don't know, mine work just fine 45k pop is not a big number, although it is big enough for high rises, zone medium and high density, and if that doesn't work, zone more residential...The difference is that in low density areas, the max number you'll get on a 2x3 tile is about 20 residents. Medium density zones allowes you to build mid-rises, and high density zones allowes high rises...same applies for commercial and industrial as well...
  2. Bizzare slow time bug

sorry, no more ideas, I'm just surprised nobody knows the answer to this...
  3. Help with higher education

Just like in real time, residents spend 4 or 3 years in elementary school, only then they move into the high schools and universities...BTW try libraries, I love them, huge help...
  4. Buildings Database

That is a good idea, I would like to take a look at that list too...
  5. Mine is on the back side of the manual...
  6. The Republic of Hesland

This is an extremely fine example of a realistic holland city, there's just one thing that caught my eye, the canals don't have bridges, they just go under the roads, that kinda ruins the fun, but the rest is just...perfect. Love the tower next to the canal. Keep up the good work!
  7. XD's BAT Showcase

Wow, they really do fit in with the rest of the houses...nice job
  8. New Skye (St-Malo + New Stornoway)

Uh, first one to comment... I must say, that teaser picture looks pretty awesome, can't wait to see more...
  9. basic questions from a newbie 2

    1. I'll give you a link: This should answer your first question 2.Building elementary schools have desired results only with cities with max 10.000 residents, later on, when your city develops, and the need for high wealth commercial services, and offices rises, you need people with a high EQ to fill in those jobs, to get residents who have a high EQ, you need more then elementary schools, you need high schools, and libraries, and a college. 3. About the university I don't know...I pretty much think that it is a waste of money, i could accomplish everything with a college, or two, so my advise is, that if you don't want to build one, don't... 4. There is no need for an airport when you have only 20k residents...the transportation advisor will ask you to build one, when it is needed, now this happens when you have a high number of commercial jobs in the city, and in the region as well...and to get those commercial buildings/jobs you need highly educated people, (and a lot of neighboring connections, which you don't have since it is a stand alone city...yours) which takes us back to question nb 2 5. You can't really break the rci demand cap without neighboring connections, parks won't help you, and neither the lowering of taxes...so make those connections, start a neighboring city, and watch both of them bloom... Hope that helps!
  10. Here's the picture of Hotel Pyongyang:
  11. Tokomo

I could barely see anything on the tenth picture...so densely populated...I love it though...

  15. Lake Wood

Good question, I don't play the game...I decided it doesn't worth the money...for me. I'm more into building cities, instead of communities... But I love the graphics, so once again, congratulations on your first CJ, waiting to see more...

  23. United Federation of Eve

Aren't the buildings a little repetitive? I like it though...
  24. Parks and a high EQ will help you as well...
  25. First of all, download the NAM, if you don't have it by now, that will lower your commute time. I'm guessing you have neighboring connections, otherwise you wouldn't be able to get 200k population... Make sure you have 4x4, or 5x5 zoned tiles, high density commercial of course, and build a useful transportation system. Or, try downloading the patch from the official sim city site: http://simcity.ea.com/update/index_update.php Hope that helps..
