  1. [2007] Lot Editor and Plug-in Manager - Forum Archive

Editing the Stock Exchange Lot Hi peeps, I don't know about you guys, but I dislike EA's Stock Exchange lot, the building is fine but I would rather the lot look more like Wall Street's Stock Exchange. The problem i'm having is when reducing the lot size to a 2 tile width and then trying to centre the building, it seems the building is actually wider than 2 tiles even though it seems to sit nicely on them, thus placing the building to the very edge as I would like.. I also do not like the props in front of the building and wanted to move the building near the edge with just a small pavement (sidewalk) like Wall Street's, but the building is out of the boundry even though it looks fine? If this makes sense to you peeps, do you have any idea of what I could do? In a nutshell I want to have a Stock Exchange building with just a small pavement in front, nothing around the sides and maybe a small parking 'bit' at the back. Many, many thanks! Cheers Darren
  2. New Official BAT Request Thread

Hi peeps, I hope this post is now in the right place, I was wondering if the talented BAT/GMAX savvy people would be willing to create or consider creating the following skyscrapers; Tour Montparnasse (frances tallest building) a very nice skyscraper. It is interseting to note that Tour Montparnasse was not very popular when built, because of this no new skyscrapers are allowed to be built in the city... imagine that in Sim City! the Woolworth Building (one of the most famous skyscrapers in New York City) the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel (famous hotel in New York) the Oriental Pearl Tower (a t.v. tower situated in Shanghai) (would make great night lighting!) the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel (I think this was in SC3000) in Atlanta Just a few suggestions; I would have a go myself but even though I am arty i'm still new to the BAT, quite confusing methinks. Regards Jimmy

  4. Question about wealthy sims

Education is paramount, you'll need brainy heads if you are going to fill those CO$$$ jobs. Plenty of parks and good transport links are also a must. Try to keep your taxes as low as you can afford and try building neighbouring cities with just residents in, no commercial buildings and just a few industrial ones. Don't build too many commercial buildings at once, keep the demand up and build a few at first, when demand goes up, you can build more. Oh, and don't forget to build libraries and museums when you can, they are easy to forget to build!
