HA!! It worked! So the issue was that my antivirus was set on high settings during that Ransomware scare we had a while back and so, I had forgotten to take those settings down. It was perceiving SC4, trying to save Cities, as Ransomware and as such, blocking the savings of the cities. Changing those settings for SC4 worked! Thanks!

Thanks, but unfortunately that didn't do it. I'm concerned i'll have to reinstall again and then go through the looooong process of putting all the plugins and dependencies back in. Such a shame. Not sure what the issue is.

Hey there! So, after about six months of not playing the game, I decided to fire the game up (SC4 Deluxe) again. The game runs fine and all and when I was working on a city, all of a sudden, when I try to save it tells me: Error Saving City (City name.sc4) I'm running SC4 on Windows 10 (latest version) so i'm not sure if that's causing the issue, but SC4 was working just fine on Windows 10 before. Any idea on this issue if anyone can help? Thanks!

Terrain Mod for Snow-capped Mountains?

I did, yes! In the end, the tutorial helped me out. The MaxTerrainHeight setting was at maximum and thus the caps would not show up. Lowering them, I now have beautiful snowcapped mountains! Thank you! -

Hey! thanks for the prompt reply. Yes, that's where I downloaded the Columbus Terrain Mod and i'm pretty sure I followed all instructions, including setting the snowcapped to LOWER, but still nothing shows up. I even went to my mountainous areas and jacked up the height and still nothing appears. I'll definitely give that tutorial a try though for the Appalachians! -
Hey there! So i'm looking fora good terrain mode that could show off at least SOME snow on top of my peaks, at least ones that aren't like gigantically high. I've tried the Columbus Terrain mod, but no snow appears on top of the mountains (am I missing dependencies/essential files?) and i've tried the Appalachian mod too and still no luck there. I would appreciate some insight on this and some help! Thanks!

EA is notorious for recycling game engines; I play FIFA religiously and unfortunately, EA just recycles the game engine, just tweaking it. Since SimCity is in the hands of EA, they will recycle using the most closely resembled game to it - The Sims. Yes, true, there is still sometime to go before the release of the game, but usually what EA posts, that's what we'll get. They're just working on bugs and stuff now, no longer visuals.

I do have some great ideas for my CJ, such as stories and what not, but dunno how to implement the technical stuff as well. And of course, there's my city. Hey. So I just found this found and I know the original post is from March, but is it too late to enroll? I do have a city right now and a CJ, but dunno if my city is good enough and where to progress it into my CJ. Got some great ideas, but this course would be helpful.

. . . AUTHOR'S COMMENTS [ 10/12/2010 ] : I know this teaser is small and this CJ gets updated everyone 6th month or so, lol. Honestly, I don't play SC4 that quickly to finish my cities fast, but I'm finally around to playing it more often and developing my city more. It's almost ready to be published and finally I can begin my CJ on a regular basis. For now, I thought i'd leave you guys with another teaser and this one is of my downtown. If you do leave a comment, I would appreciate some constructive criticism on how to improve my downtown area as well. Be advised, it's largely incomplete and still needs some work, but the main parts are done. Again, I apologize it's only one image. Enjoy!
