  5. Hello! I want to put an airport in the region I plan to do soon. This will be a small region of perhaps 10 medium-large city tiles. The airport I want to use is the Maxis International Airport (i.e. the largest of the three defult airports). I want to have it so that I have one large airport which covers the commercial demand of the region. I don't plan to make a huge metropolis, so I thought this may be possible. I would like to know if this is possible to do, but if not, what the closest alternative would be - also, if it is possible, does it matter in which city I put the airport (that is, can I put the airport in the edge of the region, or does it have to be in the middle, for example)? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

    Thanks for clearing things up: it mostly makes sense now. So this means that an airport's (a defult airport's) effect is increasing the amount of commercial in ONE city? Also, does it increase the limit of CO, CS, or both?

    Thanks for the replies everyone! Does this mean that an airport only increases the demand cap (which can just be done by plazas) and that it only does this to the city it is placed in? Also, does an airport increase the demand cap of CO or CS or both?

  11. Let's assume that sim 'Bob' takes the same route to work everyday. He drives on this route of only intersections. Now let's assume that the exact same route had (NAM) roundabouts at every point where there used to be an intersection. Will Bob's commute time be lowered, as now he doesn't have to wait for traffic lights, or is it the same (or increased...)?

    I actually made a thread like this; someone tested this for me and proved that travel through junctions is better than roundabouts because you actually travel more tiles, so I would says use junctions: they save space and have better commute times which means that they're better for traffic.   16. I want to build a condo complex for wealthy in my city, but I don't know if I should put transit near the buildings. I have installed NAM simulator z, and am just wondering because NAM is supposed to make sims take the fastest route rather than the shortest, but $$$ sims prefer using cars. I guess my question is will $$$ wealth sims use mass transit if it's faster than using the car?

    @danielcote: Im not sure if they have more accidents, but accidents at roundabouts are usually less dangerous than those at traditional intersections, for collisions at roundabouts are usually at an angle, whereas those at an intersection are usually T-bone collisions, which are much more dangerous!
  20. Is there a list somewhere (if not could someone please make one for me that they are sure about) of all the transits types listed in an order from fastest - slowest (or something like)? If there is a list could someone please tell me where it is or give me the link to it?
