WOW, double shutout Thats the kind of game I like right there. Who were the shooters in the shootout and who scored (if you have that info)? Hehe, 19th in scoring but the top team in the league. Guess that number 2 defense is what is getting it done.

Turco really isn't doing that bad, his numbers just look a little worse then they should because the overtime losses. On the whole, your team isn't doing that bad really, they are just losing in overtime. Kovalev has been doing really good for you and has one of the top +/- ratios. Lidstrom is with SPT, Chelios is in WAT (you had 2 defenders better than him, but you could probably work out a trade), and Lilja is with MAG, and could probably be obtained in a trade. Its still early in the season so a come back isn't out of the realm. You are only 3 points out in the Howe divison, so you are really just two games away from leading. Best of luck to you!

WEAR-46 Sports Night Rorysville Frostbite (4-0-1) @ Earlton Emperors (3-1-1) Tonight, league leading powerhouse Rorysville rolled into Earlton. For Earlton's Alexei Yashin, Philippe Boucher, and Evgeni Nabokov, this game was more than just another meeting, it was their first chance to face their former team. On offense, it didn't take long to have an impact. Yashin and Boucher both scored an early assist setting up a goal for defenseman Karel Rachunek. But goalie Evgeni Nabokov didn't want to be outdone. Since joining Earlton, he has been a force, tonight not being an exception. Allowing just one goal on 21 shots against the high powered Rorysville offense, the veteran goalie proved to everyone he is one of the best in the league. Rorysville goalie and former Emperor Patrick Roy, who was also included in the mega trade, allowed 3 goals on 18 Earlton shots. Tonight's win marks the fourth straight for Earlton since starting 0-1-1. After the slow start, GM Darren Manning began talks around the league, one of which resulting in the trade that brought Yashin, Boucher, and Nabokov to Earlton, along with Sidney Crosby. The win also comes on the day that the Emperors placed Alexei Yashin and Philippe Boucher on the trade block. With tonight's performance, their stock around the league has definately increased, and may possibly cause Earlton to rethink trading them off. WEAR-46 news has recieved word that the Earlton Emperors have had a complete shakeup. In a landmark 8 player, 3 team trade, Earlton has gained Nabokov (G), Boucher (D), Yashin ©, and Crosby ©. In exchange, they have sent legendary goalie Patrick Roy, Phaneuf (D), and Nylander © to Rorysville, and team captain Forsberg © to River City. The trades are widely viewed as helping all 3 teams involved. The signing of the young Crosby brings who is widely regarded as the next great one to Earlton, along with the seasoned veteran Yashin who is bound to have a few tricks up his sleeve to help the development of Crosby. When asked about the trade, Earlton GM Darren Manning stated they are looking to the future. "Sidney (Crosby) is a great leader and player, and fits in great with out first line. The Stars have sent Dan LaCouture and Joel Perrault to the Emperors for Ryan Shannon and David Bolland. The trade now awaits a physical and the final approval of the commissioner.
