did you by any chance download the mod that changes missing content from brown boxes to colour smudge? because that looks a lot like it and that means for those buildings you are missing the dependencies....

People have had problems with ATI cards but if yours was working fine then thats odd. Make sure your drivers are up to date and what mods and bats have u downloaded?

What graphics card are you using?? perhaps your graphics card cant handle the texture quality on those buildings? try lowering graphical settings and see how it works.

Okay i did everything you suggested but it crashed again.... This time i noticed it crashed whilst i was putting my ground rail diagonally through a ditrict with small office buildings and houses, well planning to put it through...like i was seeing how far diagonally i could go and then it crashed. I heard the game crahses if u hover puzzle pieces over functional transport systems but i was only hovering a possible rail link any suggestions ?

Yeh i have the deluxe edition of Sim city 4, and any chance you could link me to that update to 640?, because i think i had updated my version with a patch from ea a while back, but i remember it saying something like the patch will only work if you havent already modded or added to the game...if thats the case do i need to remove everything from the plugins folder and uninstall nam then patch the game?? and then put everything back? and i will download the dual core optimizer aswell and see if that helps

Okay I tried to do a search but the search thing wouldn't let me type anything claiming it was an "ignored word". Why would "railway" be an ignored word.. Anyway I dont post very often but now I would really like some help or information. Recently I discovered that by using the monorail puzzle pieces, my game definitly crashes. Infact using a monorail at all runs the risk but not all the time. I just dont get it. Earlier i was building a rail link through my city, no monoral just ground rail for passengers and frieght trucks and after maybe 10 minutes of simulation after i finished the setup, BAM. Back to desktop, lost my whole downtown layout aswell with avenues and roads and bridges . I have another city with a rail setup and it has no problems. Very rarely my game will just crash completely randomly, and I can never figure out how so i just forget about it. But this is annoying because I am trying to build a good city realistically and it looks like i cant use rail or monorail.. I wondering if anyone else has had this problem and/or has a solution or can help me figure out why my game is crashing, and if maybe I have mistaken the monorail and and rail to be the reason for the crash... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! EDIT: Also Just read the "read before posting bugs" thread and thought I should include this inforamtion. I have a UK edition of Simcity 4 deluxe, and i have installed NAM for UK editions of the game. Ive installed a number of bats that all work perfectly fine and no other transport mods appart from the i think its called "european bus stop mod"? it allows you to put bus stations on your road anyway and i have never had a problem with that. MY PC never really has much trouble running most mid range games. these are my pc's specs: OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP 2 Processor: AMD Athlon 64 dual core 3.0GHz Memory : 2 GB DDR II Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 1GB DDR II HDD: 160GB Page File: Max 1784MB

I fear the only reason london is mentioned so much is because its really the main city people outside of the uk will go to or have heard a lot about.... its over crowded and not that astheically pleasing....i didnt really enjoy my time there. Edinburgh(Scotland), UK is one of the most beautiful cities I've been too. Its got a very medieval look to areas of it and its just very pretty and a nice place.
