The "bailout" is the biggest mistake possible in a situation like this, that is $700 billion dollars you are talking about - $2000 from everyone in the USA even if they don't have that much, there isn't even any clear idea on how the money will be spent. If you're going to complain about more people foreclosing if the companies fall why can't this money be used to help individual households rather than giving a blank cheque to the banks who got themselves in this mess anyway - the market defeated itself and the government didn't regulate enough to stop the banks handing out loans to people who couldn't pay them and then lending the money they didn't have. Welfare for big business X( while taking it away from the people. Big mistake. IMO the Republican Party screwed up bad and now I think they need some time alone to think about what they've done, that's why I don't support McCain.

Much as you would like to pretend, there is no competition. Sydney is the best. -

Blues Point Tower. It looks like they tried their hardest to ruin a nice view and parkland. Completely out of place and a terrible building anyway. Ugliest placement of a building IMO. -

However with this Financial trouble I see NYC not being as powerful as it once was... Geneva is a pretty good idea but is it big enough or notable enough? -

If we're talking for shear notoriety it would be New York. Paris, Rome or London for culture perhaps? Hong Kong and Tokyo should be thrown in to, and Toronto could be considered, so could Sydney in that matter or the new ones of Shanghai or Dubai, but, there is only one real true metropolis on earth right now and that is New York. -
Sydney, or at least around the inner city, is stunningly beautiful and better looking than Melbourne because of the harbor and little bays. Melbourne has a better culture though as Sydney is more business orientated and somewhat of a better history as Melbourne is slightly more planned than Sydney, because Sydney just kinda grew. Personally from an SC4 point of view Sydney is better looking and has more landmarks. Canberra was put where it was because they felt there needed to be a large inland town in Australia and the location is more due to the fact it had good water supply from the Snowy mountains than because it was between Syd. and Mel. Bathurst was going to be the capital until they felt a new, planned city designed by Walter Burley Griffin would showcase Australia better. Melbourne was the capital before 1927 though.
