I am a new to BAT and this website and needed help. I just read 2 pages of stuff and it did not answer my problem which I assume is simple but since I am a complete $%&^! to BAT was hoping someone could help me out I am completely lost. I am trying to follow https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=49&threadid=46464&enterthread=y on building a skyscraper (my first time using BAT). I do not know how to texture since for whatever reason anytime I try and make the windows texture (which I have) on the top box it goes on both. Likewise anytime I try and texture the bottom box with concrete that goes on both. How do I do it so that I seperate box 1 and box 2 in that when I texture one with a bitmap the other does not change as well?

Where do I get Gmax from? I go to the discreet site and it states the following: 'As of October 6, 2005, Autodesk will no longer offer Gmax® software as a stand-alone product.' Can anyone help me get it? I downloaded the 3d max trial but the BAT will not install with that

How do you get hit-tech industry!?
Eagle Scream replied to Mantis747's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
-education helps with hi tech. Libraries and elementary schools especially for starters, then the university later on is needed. -put your dirty industry tax rate to 20% -in ordinaces, there is one called clean something or other, which puts in laws limiting the polluting that industries can do. If you have that in there then with everything else hi tech should grow. -Having hi tech sections near residential helps too cause for industry they have different desires on where to locate than other industries. -solar power over coal power helps to cut down the pollution to encourage more hi tech in I find (in terms of desireability of zoning)... -
Residential demand takes a dive into the deep
Eagle Scream replied to paulvmontfort's topic in SC4 Showcase
If you all of a sudden ran out of places to put your garbage, that is the first reason I can think of why residents would flee your city. -
DONT YOU DARE MAXIS.... or whoever is going to make Sim City 5
Eagle Scream replied to hawk015's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
If they do make a Sim City 5, they should make it similar to what Warcraft did with War of Warcraft. Have a city where you can buy properties and sell, and live in a certain area, and eventually as you get more money you can run for the mayor position. You could run private schools, private bus companies, private hospitals/clinics, plus other ways of making money so you could build things including your dream home,...
