Introduce Yourself Here!
His_Noodly_Appendage replied to JohnnyBGoode's topic in New Members Information
Hi all, i'm His_Noodly_Appendage, or HNA for short. I've been a member here for 8 years now, but get this: I've never posted. Yes, I do feel the shame of this, but back then I wanted shiny things to add to my SC4, and this is where I found them. I just wasn't a forum guy then, nor do I remember ever seeing the forum. This has been rectified. I even tried making BATs back then, but failed miserably. I haven't played SC4 in a very long while, probably somewhere around 6 years, then last year bought it on special offer on Steam, as my disc of Rush Hour disappeared, and the individual disc was more than the pack. So, I didn't install it, working my way through other games, other city builders, and RTS and Tycoon games*, but nothing has ever come close to how SC4 made me feel, that sense of purpose, then satisfaction as you see your city growing, not to mention the sense of loss when a city suddenly makes a turn for the worse. While waiting for Banished to arrive (less than 24 hours!), I began watching haljackey create a city from scratch on Youtube, and it hit me, that pressing need to put myself in the City Hall once again. Soon I shall do so, but i'll need to unhook myself from tomorrow's purchase first. So after all this, i'll just say a simple "Hello". * eg - Europa Universalis IV, almost everything Total War, CivCity Rome, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Spore, Railroad Tycoon 3, The Sims 2/3, Age of Empires III, Civilization 3/4/5, Tropico 1/2/4, Port Royale 3, Cities XL 2012, Cities in Motion 2, Children of the Nile, Anno 2070, Startopia, Stronghold 3, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, Farming Giant, copious quantities of Minecraft, and maybe one or two more, lol.- 5,870 Replies

I was beginning to get the city-building bug, then I found this game several months ago. Now I cannot wait, and with less than 24 hours left, it's excruciating. I've been playing all sorts of games over the intervening time (eg - EU IV, CiM 2), and almost reinstalled SC4, just to kill the tension. I hope so much that this game delivers what it has been promising for so long now, and that I finally have a city-building game in my collection to rival SC4.
