in any case, this guy fails to realize that we are living in exponential times. a few editions of the new york times contain more information than an individual would come across in an entire lifetime a few hundred years ago. likewise, today skyscrapers are reaching up thousands and thousands of feet, whereas just one hundred years ago, a building reaching one hundred feet into the air would have been considered sizable.
