Everybody knows what happened to the old Simtropolis Lunchroom game. Quite simply, everybody just forgot about it. Now look whos here to BRING IT BACK--the Simtropolis Lunchroom Game is back yet again and better than ever! To start us off, here is the first post of the original thread: Originally posted by Dusktrooper on November 30, 2004:Old timers in ST will remember this forum game! I certainly do, and this is a resurrection of it! Anyway, essentially, in this game, everyone kinda messes around, but do keep things within the rules. Example: Dusktrooper walks into the lunchroom, and puts down a bowl of stuff* Then, someone replies like this: _______ takes the bowl, and flings it against the wall, causing a commotion, and a fight starts Someone else replies to this, in a humerous manner of some sort, and it just goes on and on... Ok, this doesnt make any sense at first, but once it gets running along, it'll be great! It would be better if some of the old timers around here would get this thing moving along!quote> Well, thats how simple this game is! Now to begin this game: Pilotdaryl flings a rock towards the door to the old Simtropolis Lunchroom, going inside and...

Whoa whoa whoa not just any request--something that relates with roads. We'll make it for ya. EDIT: Something that relates with roads, but doesn't deal with network modding, puzzle pieces, NAM stuff. If you want to see what is being worked on, go to the main thread. Note: not all requests may be actually made

I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the city file. Manchester (the city that was one of my original CJs) does not load anymore and SC4 just crashes to desktop, I believe it's related to changing my plugins a lot and not accessing this city since then. Try loading another city, preferably another built-up one.

I was installing GMAX on my new Linux system today and the first thing I noticed is that it does not work very well. After some research I found this article on WineHQ about running GMAX 1.2 on Ubuntu 8.10. I am using an Ubuntu 9.04 system and it's not that much different - so I tried with many different configurations for about 2 hours and this is what I got: GMAX 1.2 on Linux Ubuntu 9.04: WORKING on Wine 1.1.13, using HEIDI software renderer - untried on newer versions of Wine This is what I did to get it working: Download GMAX from Turbosquid. When done, go to the location of the .exe file, right click, and select "Run program in Wine Windows Program Loader." Install as usual on any other machine. Note: an error dialog will come up saying that GMAX did not install properly; ignore this, installation was completed. GMAX might not run properly at first. According to the site I had visited, you must download msvcirt.dll from this site and place it in Wine's "C:\Windows\System32\" directory. Run GMAX for the first time, and register as usual. When selecting your geometry renderer, you MUST choose the HEIDI software Z-buffer - choosing Direct3D crashes GMAX, and while OpenGL allows GMAX to run the viewports are not rendered correctly. GMAX should run properly in Ubuntu Linux. I haven't checked on all the features yet. Possible bugs: Flickering icons Not working: BAT gamepack - Currently testing different configurations. Rendering into SC4 will not work on Linux without BAT working - I would suggest using BAT on Windows to render or arrange nightlights & LODs or letting a different person render for now unless you can manage to get it working. Feel free to report your results here and I will update with time as I try different configurations.

Ryan told me about this before it even hit the news. Sad to see an accident with all lives lost... had it been a larger plane, things could've been worse...

If it's the motherboard, it'll cost you a lot of money, so watch out! If you need a replacement video card, maybe go for an 8800GS (mine) -- those things work good Hope to see things back in track soon. Hopefully with some... new NAM material... *cough cough*

Many congratulations to your multiple trixie nominations and wins! Keep up the good work with those buildings - I'd kill myself if I wasn't the first to download that building off the STEX
