The city council thanks you for your votes on the avenue expansion project. Of the planned routes: The yellow, blue and pink routes have been constructed. The brown route is currently under construction with plans to extend it further bordering the engineering univeristy. Development has continued the port in Winthrop. Recently the container and cargo port have been completed. Port Authorities have plans to develop a bulk materials port for resources such as coal, oil, and iron ore. Cantondale has seen impressive growth, the population has broken the 65,000 sim mark. With this rise in population, Cantondale is no longer a village with this population increase, it is now classified as a city. The new hospital has helped to fuel growth. Its been some times since we have gotten reports from Potsdam. With Cantondale completing the expressway to the Potsdam word has arrived describing what changes have taken place. A new mining village recently sprung up. Word of Boulder Village only recently reached the rest of the Peninsula Ridge Region when transportation networks were connected. The Town of Cantondale has full coffers and have chosen three large scale projects to improve the growing town. The continues expansion of the first divided highway in the region. Engineers must make adjustments to the rail viaduct. The rail line viaduct extended into the cut hill making room for the highway expansion. Retaining walls have been constructed to keep the soil from sliding into the lanes of traffic. Engineers must now figure out what to do about the water infront of the highway expansion....

The mayor needed his seclusion, and with the rapid development of the village, he moved his up into the hills. He sold some of his complex to developers, and the rest he sold to the village. Now the mayor can look down upon his minons. A new train station was needed with the large volume of passengers commuting between towns on the recently completed rail line. Our last visit in Cantondale was full of rain. This wet spell of weather provided a large bountiful harvest. When food prices fell, the population boomed. While exploring Potsdam, Cantondale is no longer a small farming village. Cantondale's residential area has expanded, the wealthy prefer not to live directly next to the farm. Aided by its acceptance of industry, Potsdam has seen large growth. The village center has expanded in addtion to the surrounding farms. With no direct route to Cantondale, residents of Potsdam still need to produce their own food. The second prospector has returned with word that the village of Potsdam is turning into a town. This town is not going to rely solely on aggriculture. Here is the new town center with some near by farms. Some custom homes have moved in. Industry has been allowed to open up shop on the edge of the town. A new residential area has sprung up with the lure of jobs not requiring shoveling of manure. People still need to eat, and with no direct link to Cantondale, more farms are required. The village council has decided how to spend their small surplus. The votes came in, and overwhelingly education was the winner by two votes to none! The village of Cantondale has grown and the mayor has built his McMansion on a large plot of land he purchased. The Mayor has his own wheat field for his micro brews and hunts on the back of his property. The village and village center have grown. Cantondale is now home to over 2000 residents. Prospectors land on the beaches and are sent out to scour the land for resources and suitable locations for villages. Canton was the first prospector to return with good news. He discovered a fresh water spring and a deciduous forest suitable for a farming community. Cantondale has been founded. Roads and a water tower are quickly built.
