Road projects continue in Cantondale

Returning to Cantondale with word they have large scale construction projects in the works. Expansion continues on the highway which will soon connect Cantondale with Potsdam. However engineer's inexperience with designing road way, construction continued before complete design plans were finalized.

Construction workers begin to prep the land for the road surface.

Engineers change the plans after being faced with how to route the highway in the close proximity to the river.

The road is pushed as far as possible away from the river.

Removal of the original east bound lanes make way for the new design.

Progress is made, but now engineers are confronted with the hill in front of road.

Construction workers finish laying sod up to the rail viaduct, waiting for the finished plans.

The road plans changed once again, and engineers went with two ramps to climb the slopes preventing progress.

The finished expansion along the river banks. Potsdam is nearly connected by road.

The finished construction zone.

Meanwhile, construction finished on the trumpet interchange which will connect downtown Cantondale to the highway.
Returning to the suburban district on Cantondale, we see further expansion of the middle class up the slopes. All of this development has taken place with no long term traffic plans. There exist no main collector roads bringing traffic into the commercial district. Traffic problems begin to present themselves. Civil engineers must find solutions.

The recently finished water town sits above the old towers which await demolition.

Streets are paved for a new water side residential community.
With the mistakes made during the expressway expansion, Cantondale decided to fund the construction of a technical school specializing in engineering. The town board hopes this investment will result in better designed transportation networks in the future. A site has been chosen for the technical school. The public wants the industry further away from the town center.

The industrial buildings above the train station will be demolished making way for higher education.

Construction begins on two site. Rumors suggest the site on the right will expand closer to the farms.
With the expansion of middle class homes up the hill side traffic has increased in this area:

Expansion of the avenues are suggested.

Four routes are suggested to solve traffic problems and connect the midrise district to the town center.
With the town council not yet ready to repeat the same mistakes with the expressway expansion, they turn to you. They seek the advice of fellow city leads. Vote for your preference in avenue expansion. Votes will be taken until the next Cantondale update.
The red and yellow routes have the same starting location and ending location. The brown route extends the avenue near the future tech school and ends with the yellow and red routes. The pink route will expand the avenue in the opposite direction into suburbia.
Avenue Expansion Vote:
Red route
Yellow route
Brown route
