Hong Kong - Central # 1

HONG KONG - CENTRAL # 1
Hong Kong is located in the Pearl River Delta in a series of island chains that stretch a special administrative district in China. Hong Kong was originally owned by the British for 99 years until it was given back to the Chinese in 1997. The city's liberal policies have allowed it to become a huge Asian center for business and commerce. The north side of Hong Kong island is lined by expensive and futuristic skyscrapers. The city has one of the most recognizable skylines and it continues to grow.

The HSBC Main Building was designed by Norman Foster and uses the ancient principle of Feng Shui with a plaza letting it face the water.

Hong Kong's Admiralty District is a piece of reclaimed land filled with modern office buildings and parks.

The Bank of China Tower is probably one of Hong Kong's most recognizable landmarks. Its futuristic look was fairly ahead for its time when it was completed in 1990.

Some modern towers are shown here like AIG Tower, Bank of America Building, and Fairmont House.

Central Hong Kong has many parks and gardens. This park in front of HSBC Main Tower allows the building to face the water and was bought many years ago by the company.
