Bern, der Schweizer Kapital !

This month we first visit the land of watches, chocolate, cheese and beyond ! This month three part "Show us what your building" took some effort away of this CJ build but gives a showcase of what might lies beyond the city building corner; specialy I like to see the grow of the SFBT Bern set wich would be awesome. Landmarks for this city aren´t well available so a lot to research. This map just like the Munchen map covers a imaginative part of the Berner land.

Let´s start with innercity area !

Bern tram network got like a T shape in the downtown area, line to right going to the station area !

Kirchenfeld area accros the river on the left, houses a lot of educational facilties like the State library, Natural and Historic Museum.

Rural west of Bern developing into a modern town !

Swiss gantry is quit different from German & middle european one´s , not completly acurate but to give this a little bit of accent I now use the swiss gantry mod with faded pole´s to give it a more modern look !

To conclude some pictures of the city tile !

The basic city layout is established, next time we continue filling in some gapes. This city will be on of the three swiss cities in this series !

Hope you enjoyed this CJ and see you back next time !

I assume Der Schweiß is a parody on the real German name of Switzerland Die Schweiz?

German and official names aren´t my greatest ! Mind addmum of title little short, your irght maybe a parody, perhaps I wanted to add it to Schweißer meaning the swiss but I will correct it !

That's a good foundation so far, looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you, Bern will prosper well. Sc4 Rushhour still got one unexplored topic on my list Got the mod to block maxis stuff. Building style´s allows me to go all european onlyw with some bat hickups hear and there ! This hopefully allow me to grow the  specialy SFBT W2W Bern set more easily !

Maybe you could turn off the wave-effect. On rivers it doesn't make that much sense as on seashores.

Thank you, wave effect turn off ? Some part of the shore´s need to be deep for the bridges, some maybe less deep. Still there´re some uneasy shore parts wich have been re-terraformed !

RJ - Disable Bridge Wash Effect (v1.0) this mod ?

No, not that complicated. In the display menu of the game settings you can turn on and off the visual effects like clouds, shadows and waves.  In my opinion rivers look better without the waves - as the Aare or the Rhine aren't famous as surfers paradise ... just because there is no breakwater. But well ... it's just a matter of opinion/taste.

Thank you, This series indeed isn´t about nice seaside´s. Graphicaly I can only change these in the main installation of SC4 as this region is run from a Username folder. Future cities like Copenhagen or St Peter´s burg will certainly have theme back, have a look at it !
