Heya!

Goblinton seems to be worth a visit, if I count the views. But as nice as it is to see so many people lurking in here, it would be awesome to hear your opinions, thoughts, hints, or tips. Maybe someone should have cried out: "Don´t develop too much!"

Indeed, this would have been a good tip, cause my town died two day ago. I did a lot of mistakes while planning the town, for example too much schools, what caused high educated people to work on farm fields instead of offices. I always wondered about the lack of demand for offices, although 70 percent of the citizens of Goblinton are academics. The last stab was my decision to demolish a farm area near the town, that I wanted to change into a town quarter with industry and such. While starting it I realized, that all quarters of my map used the "education boost" flag. And also I saw my budget going down, first slowly but soon I had a weekly minus of about 40 000 gold? Dollar? Euro?

But luckily we C:SL players can use this endless money cheat. Keynesianism in a game, and well, it works. I can invest money in infrastructure and RICO, and while I don´t have a real diversity of commercial growables, the RICO malls and buildings now help to satisfy the commercial demand, that is unbelievable high. Another very positive aspect of playing with this cheat is, that I can try out how to place buildings. That is very useful, cause I can´t plan before I build. For example a bridge may be build ten times before I am happy with the result, the right slopes, the right height, and such things. A very expensive fun...

So the cheat gave me the ability to overwork the whole map. I built a hydroelectric dam, I worked on the road layout in the countryside, started rebuilding the railway on the whole map in a more realistic way (without slopes if possible), then the map needs some terraforming work, and some of it is done now: Last but not least I rebuilt the whole agricultural sector, started some bigger development in three new quarters, including a soccer stadium, and did some finetuning of several areas like the commerce street, or the quarter near the airport.

And slowly my budget is raising again. I really hope, that I can return to a solid state soon again.

BUT - today I show you a bunch of pictures, that were shot during a pedestrian walk in Goblinton. I often use this feature to control my planning as usually one would look from this perspective to a town.
