Krongans: 1925 report
Hello everyone !!
I'm very happy to publish my first new post in this brand new Simtropolis !!
Last time, we left Krongans in 1915, during the second mandate of Simon. We are now in 1925 and the current governor is... SIMON !!!!
Yeah, turn-over is not the speciality of Krongans. Simon kept in place the same people for 20 years, and this people vote for him at each election, so everything is okay.
But despite the fact that Simon acts a bit like a dictator (he actually is), he's also doing a great job to develop Krongans, especially Krongans City and Mid-Krongans.
North-Krongans is still a bit apart, and kind of autonomous. Philippstown is abandonned at 85% and destructed at 65% due to several fires and no firemen services, the lack of money in the city, no mayor or official administration for 10 years...
Only 3,000 people are left (mostly farmers), surviving as they can.
Two cities appeared on the WestIsland, created by the oil prospection. They're only living thanks to the oil business.
Here is a view of the Falklands Islands:

As you remember (I'm sure), Simon's father worked in the maintenance of churches and cathedrals in France, and one in particular stayed in the memory of Clément Simon, the Chartres' cathedral.
So as a huge fan —and ruling a now powerful and rich small nation (England definitely gave them freedom and independence) — he ordered the construction of an exact replica of the Chartres' cathedral.
First, let's take a look at the aerial view of KrongansCity:

Do you see it ? On the top-right corner ?

Here it is !!

Beautiful, no ? Some parks have also been arranged in front of and around the cathedral.

And the big mansion-kind with the cannons is the new house of the Krongans' Government.

Now let me show you the brand new "presidential residence area". You can spot it on the aerial view of the region, on the west of KrongansCity, in the forest.
This is another example of the megalomania of Simon. He got a private road built that leads to his private residence with a private golf resort, a private beach (mostly rocks), and all of it done with his private money. Well, in fact, with the taxes of the Krongans population.
I have to admit, it's tempting to use other's money to build this for you:

But limiting the acts of Simon to this new cathedral and residence is negative. He also finally provided KrongansCity with the train station it deserved (maybe a bit bigger than what it really deserved):

And a promenade replacing the old port:

The industrial area stayed quite the same, as the residential area on its north side did:

And now some random pictures of KrongansCity, 1925 version.

That's it for today!
Thanks you all for watching !!!
