Haha, clever.  Are you picking up Skylines?  I'm tempted to pick it up, but also keep playing SC4 until the day comes the Skylines TRULY replaces it.

Another question.  How do you get the right sidewalk mod under your buildings?  I'm using the SCILT for the Boston Brick Mod, but the sidewalk on the lots appears as one of the other sidewalk mods...a lighter white brick.

I see a number of great looking small businesses / industries there.  Links?  Thanks!

You can make a crude New Sorgun-like towns in CS by laying down dirtroads and zoning 1 or 2 tiles away from the road to create shacks and small wooden houses.

Thanks :)
I'm sure I will pick it up at some point, but I'm going to wait a bit to see what else the developers have in store (content and modding wise).
I'm very happy with SC4 at the moment, so I can afford to be patient.  In the meantime, I hope they address a few things...
-First, I'd like the starter highway stub to disappear - that just reeks of SC13 to me and I don't like the idea of being forced to start a city tethered to a highway.
-The diversity of buildings is pretty sparse at the moment, but I'm sure that will quickly change over the coming months, so I'm not too worried about that.
-I also would like more control over what types of buildings can grow - something along the line of SC4's 'building tile sets'.  That will probably need to be addressed by the game developer, but it sounds like there is already a good amount of interest in seeing this implemented, so hopefully I can check that off my list too.
-Finally, the 4x4 zone size limit is just not going to fly with me.  At 32m^2, that is just a minuscule footprint.  I'm sure the developers had their reasons for this, but I'm a little surprised they couldn't improve upon this before launch (I know, I know, you can plop lots larger than this, but I find no joy in plopping... sorry, that's just me).  I really hope this is solved in the near future.

As for the BATs, I used PEGs MTP CS$ shops on a number of lots... you can find the BATs here.
I also used Deadwoods great 'Small Shops'... here's the link to one of them, but he created a number of versions, so do a search for them on the LEX.

Lol!!! Great entry.

I agree with you tho...there is a lot of things I am not crazy about at the moment with Cities Skylines. Repetition of building, lots of limitations..I have a city of 16K and I already have 7 waste fields and many incenerators and I still cannot fully manage the garbage.

But hey, I had to try it. I am sure with time it will be more interesting. (crossing fingers).
