Hi, Schulmanator. Presumably that will not be followed by HVD...

Hi, PhatHead. Niice to see you drop by.

Hi, Fox. Congratulations again - you'll have to stay tuned to see where you end up in the top one hundred.

Ben's Top One Hundred +5 for 2013

It's that time of year again where we count down the top CJs from 2013. Today we have numbers 81-105.

There are two former number ones in there - Castiana - Sahal - Vagonbrei, and Harar.

Updated Dec 29

Today we've added positions 61-80. The Great Coast hit number one this year. Izumo and Zouerat Islamic Federation were number ones from 2012.

Updated Dec 30

Positions 41-60 added today. This includes some CJs that were number one in the last 3 years: Schellingen Stadt, Parkland, Utgard and City of Angeles.

Updated Dec 31 - celebrate responsibly & Happy New Year!

CJs in spots 21-40 that have been number one in the past include Yoshi's Redwolf, Brunswick, The empire of Nueva Iberia, and Random & Random. There are quite a few Trixie winners, too.

Updated Jan 1 - welcome to 2014!

We're up to numbers 11-20. CJs that have been number one include Med Inspirations, Okatabawashi, Ring of Fire, Progress, Cattala, Selbring County and Shayden.

Republic of Shihaisha was also number one - my apologies for not having its number one star there.

Updated Jan 2 - the top ten is here.

It's not that old, but King's Bend wowed enough to get to number one four times and be the number 10 CJ for the year.

At 9 New Chandler, a Trixie winner in 2012, is the highest ranked CJ for the year not to have reached number one, although it has been as high as number 2.

Asgard hit number one for the first time this year, has won Trixies in 2011 and 2012, and is at number 8.

At 7 Hijaran United Confederacy has hit number one in 2013 and 2012, and won a Trixie in 2012.

Ionica, a number one CJ in 2013 and 2012, is at 6.

The 2012 winner of the Trixie for Best CJ, winner of Trixies in 2012 and 2011, and a BTT number one in 2009 (thanks, Time Machine), 2011, 2012, 2013, Journey through Paengia, is at 5.

At 4 is Shushtrepistaz, a number one in 2013 and a Trixie winner in 2012.

Last year's number one for the year, Schulmania, is at 3. This CJ has won the most Trixies of any CJ at Simtropolis, and was also number one for the year in 2009 (link to Time Machine Top 100 for 2009).

Number one on BTT in 2013 and 2012, Mass Effect: The Milky Way is number 2 for the year.

Which can only mean that the number one CJ for 2013 is New SorGun. Well done to this Trixie winning CJ which has been number one on BTT in 2013 and 2012.

Thanks for all your support and interest in BTT, and thanks to all the CJ authors for their creative and entertaining work. The regular BTT will be back soon.

This time of the year is full of nice traditions. Speaking of Ben's Top 100 is like speaking of our most rooted Christmas time traditions!

Who needs oscars/emmys/whatever when we have the BTT 100.

Schulmanator, Simcoug, or Paeng: who gets the top spot this year?

Hi, Schulmanator. The first of a few CJs for you this year.

Hi, 976. Nice work in 2013.

Hi, TekindusT. Nice work having 2 CJs in the first batch.

Hi, blunder. You'll have to stay tuned to see if your predictions are correct, or even close.

Hi, 111222333444. The list covers the whole year; sometimes the early part of the year can seem far away.

Surprised to see Zouerat there, it was rather quiet this year. 2014 will be a big year for me and CJing! I am ready to make a comeback!

It's very nice too to see myself at place 68, it's a nice motivation to keep on working on my CJ :)

Hi, 111222333444. Glad that BTT could remind you.

Hi, gil_alves. Nice to see your work on the top 100.

Hi, Timmie. I hope to see your CJ here again next year.

Hi, Schulmanator. No surprise here, it had a good few weeks after it debuted.

Hi, kevin0535. One way that might help you to understand would be to carry out this exercise for yourself: create 10 links to 10 CJs in a post. Determine how long that takes you. Now multiply the time taken by 30, which takes into account the fact that I am releasing BTT top 100s for 3 different sets of CJs (SimCity, SC4 Forum, CJ section). Hope that clarifies things.

Hi, Huston. And we're about to see a few more.

Wow! I didn't expect my CJ, Nueva Iberia being so high in this ranking this year, because I've been really busy and the CJ has been inactive for a long time. Also, congratulations to all CJers that made it into this ranking, and good luck to those that didn't, if they can make it in 2014. Happy new year folks!!

Just now re-discovering so many things on simtrop.  will have to brush up on old Peyton Place and get the S.M.A. in order on the Island so someday Peyton-Stepford and its little towns in between will be presentable for the list.

Like your reviews here, @Benedict!  Happy New Year 2014!

I never expected to be on this list! But to be #31? That is just amazing! Thank you everyone who liked Mirani and hopefully you'll all like New Duveland just as much! :D

Woah. Random & Random at #29? That's really surprising considering that I only updated it about 4x the last half of the year :P
