"Historic Communities and Bldgs Preserved"

<BR>
FUNDS UNFROZEN FROM THE P&B SCANDAL PUT TO GOOD USE
Thanks Major Forthwall for your services! Darlene's curled up under the seat,shes afraid of heights! LOOK! We're headed toward midtown! Funny how things look so clean and pure from so far up! Cant wait to see the old Sunnyside!
<br>

We are just above Midtown about southeast of the town square. Its amazing how this used to be farmland and pastures as far as the eyes could see.. back when I went to this school, it was in the middle of a huge field with a winding road leading up to the bldg.
Mrs Pencilwright was my 1st grade teacher....come tothnk of it she ws my teacher up till 6th grade!
Schulman Elementary has been closed for years now. Today looks like its a community service center. I see a medical clinic addition and some officespace. Looks like the old community bult around it got some facelifts too. * Looka likw Jughead's following us in his hoopty, that's him in the convertible clunker infront of the school!

This is one of the fist midtown areas to go abandoned when Edgar Polk and Van de Baynes went to prison. The money dried up and banks took over the foreclosed properties, leaveng many homeless. My gramps went into action quickly and built a lot of the communities you saw yesterday , made nice homes available and affordable for decent folk.
This is the first Senior SIMS home constructed (1949) still open and redesigned..Behind is are rundown , burned out and looted empty houses. This area's marked for redevelopment. This wasknown as the Kingston Shanties on Sutherland ave.
<br>

<br>
Cedar Bluff-East was one of the first NEW subdivisions built out of distress of those evicted during the scandal. These homes look old now but they are well built and some may go on the citys historic register. My great gramps and gramps had a hand in this project.
<br>

The subdivision had two main entrances on the east and one on the west with security so to keep the Skabetti's out. NOtice the priacy gates that surround the entire community? My folks went all out to make sure people living here were compfy. There are a mixture of condos, effieiencies, private home dwellings and even a clubhouse with pool.
<br>

<br>

Plenty redevelopment coming up. Especially the next community over (outside the Cedar Bluff Gated Community)...That's the Middlebrook - Midtown area. Right now, the Skabettis' own most of it but they're being taken to court to release deeds!
<br>

COMING UP: COMMUNITY OWNED BUSINESSES
Next we will look at some of the new local businesses and mom/pop shops that help generate revenue for local communities to maintain themselves and thrive! Mamma Peyton has nothing to worry about, her business is booming and opening up all over town!
Ones coming soon to the Middlebrook Redevelopment!
<br>

PLUS we will trek over to Simetery Hill and check out some preservation work going on at the old high school! I am glad the city planning commission saw value in keeping the citys first high school in existence even as a museum! We may even find time to get back on our werewolf hunting mission! I am almost positive that beest is somewhere now, prepping up for his next victims!
<br>

<br>

Until the Next episode, thanks goes to Forthwall for taking us on this excursion! OH, I almost forgot! the 200+ acres is back up for grabs! Currently renting half the farmland out to Auntie Em and her kin. Its foreclosed prime real estate! the last person with a contract on it backed down after he thought about the asking price! Its not that bad.... heh...
<br>

OOPS Gotta hurry back home! a brand new shows start on the boobtoob tonite! Its about some big city sherrif and his sidekick deputy! Been waiting all season to see what this new show's about...... Till then!! take care!
