Ooh, that looks really good tommiej!

As for me, I don't have a seaport yet, but I'm planning on making one for my CJ in a couple of weeks.

Nice work, it is indeed quite inspirational. That terraforming has a lot of potential for a wonderful port tommiej. 19.gif

Tommiej: That kind of looks like the Maasvlakte/Europoort area. Very nice

dakocemenih: You are right about that, but the USS Enterprise is a very special kind of vessel. There aren't a lot of harbours where you can park an aircraft carrier with any ease, I imagine. 3.gif

dalton.... it seems like ur seaport has a big problem about water pollution.....

dakocemenih: There are various lots that eliminate water polution. Maybe Dalton doesn't use them because pollution in some cases makes the ports more realistic, is that right Dalton? Or not?

I tend to leave my water polution in place. My thinking is that if theres dirty industry near by the water is going to be nasty. I only wish the game had water currents. That harbor is on the mouth of a river. It would look better if the polution was show to be following the current as it disapates.

Also wha tyou don't see just outside of the picture is a big oil refinery, not the cleanest part of town 4.gif

Yes, I keep the water pollution at most cases. Only when HiTech industries appear I do something.

Tommiej: I really hope you will be able to get that port journal off the ground. The project looks amazing. I made a very scaled down version of that very same port (not a recreation - more of a port inspired by PoR) covering 4 large city tiles, which is nothing compaired to what you are aiming for, and it took me two full months to complete.

I wish you the best of luck, and even if you never finish it's going to be one heck of a ride. Bravo!

Hi all, I've never posted to a forum before (the definition of a lurker????) but am looking for those white rock wall/seawall/dike formations many of you have used in your seaports. Thanks in advance for anybody that could help me out.

thanks emilin, RL is preventing me from terraforming more.. i just modified some pieces.. but in two weeks RL will be a lot less stress full, i hope... so i will have some more time for terraforming, playing SC4.. and the beautiful weather isn't helping either.. than outside becomes a lot more attractive than sitting on my room and seeing the beautiful weather outside... i will start my PJ when i have enough pics/material to start.. i'll keep you informed!

dankje natuurzoon! (keep it in english) i miss the netherlands in SC4.. Suudendam is great, but it declared itself independent.. so there goes Holland...

That would be jeronij's breakwater you are looking for. Try searching the stex for "breakwater" or go to sc4devotion.com and download it there (it's his own site).

for a first port, not bad. i see that you don't have the good textures on the container railterminal, search for rail on the stex and download the pack from northcounrtydude.

Ah, ok. Anyways, does anyone know where I can get the seawalls/dikes that the thread creator used? This dock was meant to function as well as being eyecandy, lol. Thats y my options were limited.

The best industrial waterfront is PEG CDK industrial style. Search at StEx. Other not-industrial waterfronts: Marrast embankment set, jeronij shore comforming seawalls vol4, PEG CDK recreational style. I use them, they are very useful. You can find more in shoreline walls topic.

This is my best seaport. My another seaport isn't too creative.

Temen is currently underway. Although my CJ takes place in the middle of Nebraska (fictional terrain), it will still be a seaport city transporting goods by sea from Cranktoon Bay to the rest of the region.

Visit SimPeg.com for high-quality downloads for use anywhere from the mountains to the sea!

Very nice Tojglee, though you might want to make the avenue bridge higher, so that ships can get under. 9.gif I like the slips for the bigger ships. You also might want to replace the default ferry terminal with one of the CDK ones.

hey Tojglee (HUN), i like this port... the spaces for the ships are a little small but it looks very realistic.
