I just took a tour of San Francisco with this thing and man is it ever beautiful. I gotta visit this city. Wait until Microsoft puts all of America into the Virtual Earth virtual tour thing. That will be incredible, especially for the sim city 4 community.

The "Birds eye" (highest resoultion) images are very confined and only span about a 10th of the actual city. GO GET THE GOOGLE. SHOW THEM WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF!

This is cool, but why does Microsoft have to mimic everything?  They are going to mimic the Ipod next you know.  Google earth has more texture, but this has a little of a better picture in some places.

Well the bird's eye views are much closer than google earth. That is what makes it better. But yea google earth has the whole world. Windows live local only has some cities of the USA, but they are still adding cities.
 
I think these birds eye views are extremely useful when recreating NYC for example. Also this will really help to recreate buildings.

That's really neat... but having to click the pictures and stuff got old really fast. It'd be nice if they made it into a google earth type program as these images are a lot more detailed.

Windows Live now includes Los Angeles and Philadelphia. I can't wait to see Hollywood with this thing.  

Odd why there isnt too much interest in this. After all this is extremely helpful for the Sc4 community.
