Hey! Here are some Landmarks that ought to be made! Sydney Opera House - Sydney, The Esplanade - Singapore, Westin Bonaventure Hotel - Los Angeles, Marina City - Chicago, London Eye - London! I know that someone's working on the Sydney Opera House & The London Eye, but I'm not sure if their REALLY working on it. It's been like months....especially for the London Eye! BTW! Please make the Esplanade from Singapore! It's a really cool building that looks like a Durian.

Here's a pic of the Esplanade in Singapore!

This is Marina City in Chicago!

tri-building.jpg
And here's Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles! I think it's split into 5 parts, 1 big building in the middle and 4 on the corners and the building is surrounded by elevators in between! And all 5 parts of the hotel stands on a rectangular building below. It's hard to find good pics of this hotel & my theory may be wrong & kinda stupid but good luck making this!...44.gif

One request I have is the Farmer's Tower (Boerentoren) in Antwerp, Belgium. Here is a picture of it:

boerentoren10vy.th.jpg

This building was the first skyscraper on the European continent. It was finished in 1930 and is built in art deco style. It is 97 meters high. The name Farmer's Tower comes from the original owner of the building, the Flemish Boerenbond (more or less a farmers union). At this moment, the owner is KBC, a Belgian bank, and it's called the KBC Tower, although most inhabitants of the city prefer the older name over the new one.

Another picture:

boerentoren24eb.th.jpg

This picture shows you the outline of the building. The ground floors are actually in the shape of a half circle (they follow the roads, actually, which have an almost 180 degree curve, but you can't see that on this picture). So a little bit like a big letter D. It is only the tower itself that is rectangular.

boerentoren30al.th.jpg

The big A on top is funny, isn't it?
It stands for Antwerp and it was part of a promotion campaign for the Fashion Year in Antwerp. You could include it in your model if you feel like it.

I would be really pleased if someone is interested in BATting this. I don't have the tools to do it myself, nor the time to learn it. The really nice thing would be to combine this Farmer's Tower with the magnificent Antwerp Cathedral which is already on the STEX for some time. These two buildings are the two highrises that dominate the historical city centre of Antwerp, they are very recognizable. It would be great to have them! 29.gif

Oh yes, by the way, you can find some larger pictures here (they are copyright-protected, though, so I can only provide the link): http://www.belgiumview.com/belgiumview/tl1/view0000024.php4
(you can click on the small pictures to enlarge them!)

Alright, I have a request. One of my favourite buildings in Canada and the world, the Beacon, in Nanaimo, British Columbia. The pics might be a bit oversized, but they're the only ones I could find with a high enough quality.

13d2hh.jpg

The Beacon, located at 154 Promenade Drive in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, is the tallest building on Vancouver Island, surpassing even the building of Downtown Victoria. There are 27 floors, and the Beacon stretches across the Nanaimo sky at a height of 84 metres, or 277 feet.

The Beacon was completed in 1996 by the Bosa Development Corporation and Farmer Construction. Nanaimo is a smaller city of 76,700 residents, and the Beacon is easily visible to the left in this picture of Nanaimo.
13e2yn.jpg

As you can see, there are only 2 other tall buildings in Nanaimo, the Seacrest Apartments and the Coast Bastion Inn, both of which are more than 30 metres shorter than the Beacon. The Beacon is, as its name implies, a shining beacon for Nanaimo, and Vancouver Island as a whole. Please consider BATting this building, it would be greatly appreciated.

this is a simple request and i think a simple project.

remember these lots?
Planet Parks ver. 1
Planet Parks Pack 2

the gas giants are missing.  the maker stated they would be big and people might not want 'em.  i don't think they need to be perfectly to scale, but something suitably large would do.  perhaps someone could even give me some clear directions where to look and i could try this myself.  i have never made a bat yet, but i imagine a globe with a texture isn't super tough 1.gif  but, if anyone likes this idea, and woudl be able to do it, i imagine it would be done a lot quicker.

Can someone make a nicer London Bridge Tower? Or else render the old one and make night lights for the tower part! And i think u can find the london bridge tower on Simcity.com! But it has no night lights thats the problem! Remember to make the Esplande! I think it would be cool and stylish for Simcity! The Esplanade is a Opera House, where concerts and stuff are held. So you may wanna put it in the Rewards menu if u get it made. But the landmark menu would be good too!4.gif

Here's a pic again lol!

Wow, that looks cool simpleplan. It'd look awesome in Sim City

Anyway, i have a little request. I'm not sure if this has been done, but i've searched the STEX and forums.

Would it be possible to make pedestrian stairs over a railway? It's evident in many train stations.

Here's an example: http://stex.simtropolis.com/lots/frogface/frogface_snr%20suburban%20station/day.jpg

simpleplan: I can understand you wanting that structure being BATed but there is no need to push it. I've seen the same pics at least 3 time around the forum 2 of which are on this page. Maybe it would be a good idea to post the request and wait a week or two or at the minimum a page or two and see what happens before posting again 2.gif

I actually considered BATting that a while ago. I decided to just make a lot, sticking the Maxis industrial buildings together. AFAIK, it's too big for a single lot.

Would someone be able to make some lots to texture the sides of this dam (built by terraforming the dam and using the rain mod to fill the reservoir) to look more like a dam? I have problems with slope graident and water restrictions with existing wall lots :-S
