I posted this already as its own topic a while back, but I figured I should post this to the official BAT request thread.

Basically, what I'm looking for is a crew boathouse. Obviously this would be a water/land ploppable lot. Ideally, plopping the boathouse would result in two or three variations, so you could say, reproduce the boathouses along the Charles River in Boston without having it look too repetetive.

Here are some examples of college boathouses in the U.S.:

Harvard


I have others if people want them.

Basically, the essentials to a boathouse are the two or more large bays for boats, a ramp going down to the dock, and the floating dock itself.

And what would REALLY be awesome, and would elevate the modder to God in my eyes, would be if putting this boathouse down resulted in crew teams rowing on the water. (A little 3-D model, like the speedboat or the ferry. I realize the oars wouldn't be able to move, but even so.)

1) diagonal streets
2) roundabouts from very large to small, size can vary
3) dikes , sort of like elevated roads (elevated by ground)

Simcity needs some major shopping malls. There are bigs cities in simnation but no major mall. that makes no scence. I request that major shopping malls are made like for exemple: the eaton's center, in toronto; the centro comercial colombo, in lisbon, it's the biggest shopping mall in europe; the Vasco de a Gama shopping mall, also in lisbon.

I was building my city and a have a huge wooded area. I was thinking that something SimCity needs is:

Log Cabins and small hunting cottages.

We have Industrial with smokestacks, how about these with working chimneys and they sit in the woods. We have the one log cabin by Barby. If we could get smaller ones and other different smaller sized cottages it would provide a nice wilderness feel to our cities.

I didn't read the entire thread, but I doubt that anybody mentioned creating the simpsons house. I would love to see there house in the game. Then I could put the nuclear plant and call it springfield. Which gives me an idea for my next city. But I need the house first! Please!!!

O.K. my request:

I would really like to see a harbour (industrial) pack. It would be nice when it looks like the airport pack Joerg has made (all kind of individual lots to assemble a nice harbour region). I know Peg made some waterfront lots that will do but since he removed them from the STEX there's no good alternative anymore.

It would be really nice when the harbour is fully functional as transportation unit and provides jobs for the Sims aswell!

Some ideas for the pack:

It would be nice when this pack contains lots that function like the seaport as it excists in the game. Beside that, some lots that can be placed between functional harbours to give it a real massive industrial look (like Peg's industrial RTK's).
It would be cool and realistic when these lots include some mayor crains to get the cargo on the boats laying in the harbour.
Another thing to make pack this pack as realisticly as possible would be:
Some container lots (like in Joerg's airport pack) with jobs and some oiltank lots with jobs. With these lots it would be possible to make a big cargo or oil distribution (harbour) center that provides the city with jobs and commerce like seen in real life harbours.

I know, I'm asking a lot but this is what I'm missing in the game. I think it would be a great extra for the game!!

I'm not good with Bats or mods but I'd like to help in anyway possible...

Edinburgh Castle would be good too. I know that we have the castle props, but the rock formations it is on and the Royal Mile leading up it would be the real challenges. The props look nothing like Edinburgh Castle anyway.

I don't think it's been requested before, but since it's a pretty well known complex, I'll rise to the occasion. Could someone make the World Financial Complex in NYC? It's a three building complex near the World Trade Center site. A growable and ploppable version with jobs would be great.

Trigger, a convention center is just that, a convention center. It is a place where huge meetings occur, and you see lots of clubs and organizations hold events there.
Simon, diagonal streets are made by dragging a street or a road in a diagonal line.
The Simpson house was created a while ago, it should be on the STEX.

Has anyone considered BATting London's great Brutalist beauty, the National Theatre (aka Royal National Theatre)?





The NT consists of three auditoriums in one building: the 1200-seat Olivier, 900-seat Lyttelton, and the Cottesloe - a 300-seat studio theatre. Each auditorium can have up to three productions in repertoire at any time - so you could come to the NT nine times in a week and see a different play every time! It's on London's oh-so-artsy South Bank, next to Waterloo Bridge (from which the view of the building, especially at night, is quite beautiful), and is one of London's, if not the world's best-regarded theatrical institutions.

It's rather an acquired architectural taste, but not without its charms, and the nightlighting can be spectacular. These are the best pics I could find, but I work near the NT so can take whatever photographs necessary if someone takes up the project.
