Now that is quite a cemetairy... The Undertaker seems to be a busy man there .... 18.gif

I love that small garden with Heroni's trail and fences in front of the church ... though ... a gate as a kind of transition of those two (resp three) tilesets would be nice ...

Nice work on main street. Ewspecially when you use 1-tile wide lost there a nice slope instead of terraces and reatining walls can look so great, isn't it?

Take care my friend!

Hello Darmok,
Thomas was right, it's a good translation (although I dont't think it says much about your dictionary2.gif ).

Nice work again, I think I'm gonna try some more terraforming with those roads as welI. I have two questions though, 1) What are those dome shaped buildings beneath your new farmfield?, and 2) What is this startup manager you were talking about? I'm not yet close to 2 Gb but it might be good to know 4.gif.
Tot later,
Loki

    Thanks Fabio
    tlannister
    Welcome to Anduin Valley tlannister!
Hehehe yep for now it's a small village... maybe the Ruby Tuesday's owner knows things that we don't hummmm....
Those trails are so easy to work with, and so beautiful, how can one miss?
Deadwoods have a real talent for those rural lots!
Thanks for your comments, and do come back anytime!
    Take care
    szarkoz
    Hey szarkoz,
I use the modified brf_slopemod done by jeronij. It's a bit more forgiving. All a question of personnal preferences.
As for the electronic music thing, it's just that when I come across an unusual name I often look on the internet to try to find the source or signification.
In your case, your name reminded me of "Zardoz", a really bad Sci-Fi movie done in 1974.
So I did a search on google and found a small web site where we could download some electronic music done by a certain "szarkoz" (couldn't download it yet though... perhaps a server problem... I don't know).
So if it's your site, as soon as I can I'll listen to it.
Always fun to find new things!
Thanks for the comments and enjoy the weekend
    rooker1
Thanks rooker, that truck stop is a fun lot to work with, looks like the real thing, how many of those rundown truck stops have we seen in road movies!
Yeah I like that small "Main Street", I would have preferred a lesser grade for the cliff behind the shops, but was too lazy to redo the terraforming. (shame on me!)
    Take care
P.S. One day closer to the baby!
    ThomasAH
    Hallo Thomas,
I don't think I'd be able to ever speak Dutch fluently, but with the ressouces we find on Internet, it's sure fun to learn some words in other languages!
    Thanks for your comments!
    Take care
    crazyman14
    Welcome to Anduin Valley, crazyman
You read it from the beginning! Wow! Hat's off to you! I'm honored and impressed!
Honored by the fact you did your first post here.
And impressed by your patience to have read it all!
Thanks for your good words and wishes.
    Take care

    simmax
Hi Simmax, Welcome to Anduin Valley
Thanks for your comments, I agree with you about the cliffs in that particular setup, see answer to rooker.
Though when the grade is less steep, it's great looking. (IMO)
But for diversity, I'll probably try a new one towards the end of AVR
    Enjoy the weekend!

    bartinator
    Hey Bart!
I use the brf_tunnel and slope mod, (modified by jeronij)
I know he gave it has an attached file somewhere in Sculpting Columbia River.
    But where!!! I don't remember.
I'll PM him about it and keep you informed.
    Take care
    Phil (PhilsCafe)
    Hey Phil,
I'd sure love to try a "real" swiss cheese fondue, because this side of the pond, we mostly have "fondue in a kit" and I'm sure that it has nothing in common with the real stuff!
    have a great weekend!
    Slann
    One word - THANKS!
oh and here's some more, Take care!
    Fallon
    Welcome to Anduin Valley, Fallon
Your comments are appreciated, thanks for taking the time to voice them out!
And if your preferences goes towards the suburban look, just wait a bit, the town will grow some more!
    Take care

    MayorTim
Hey Tim, long time no see.
Glad to know you still watch AVR.

    Hey MS
Always good to see you, and waiting to see more of Kinata Region!

I agree with Shadow_Assassin Sloppet, none of us are 18.gif ... (Thank god!)
    Enjoy the weekend
    Shadow
Good one there shadow, and no Callenhad is not finished, we haven't been down in the plains yet!
It'll be more "dense" in that area
    Take care
    jacky
Doing great Jacky, but here, it's always snowing! Already over 3 meters high this year... and we still have to go through the St-Pat's storm as we call it.
    Enjoy your weekend!
    Take care
    Bernhard (Nardo69)
You know what "they" say, "Death never takes a holliday"
I agree about the gated entrance to the cemetery, my only problem was, that I wanted to keep the grounds rather small... we'll call it artistic license. WINK
Thanks for your constant support my friend, and take care.
    lokichild
Hehehe...As I said to Thomas, I'm sure I'll never be fluent in Dutch, but I really like to learn those small things, long live diversity!
I'd say though that we always wonder about the "seriousness" or "validity" of those resources on the NET, that's why I'm always inquiring about the "right" translations.
    Allright, the questions,
The domes are part of an Hydroponic farm, I think it's the "CSX GM Farm Hitech Hydroponics ", but I'm not sure... I'll query it this weekend and keep you informed.
The Startup Manager, is a SC4 utility, you'll have more info there : https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=121&threadid=70989&highlight_key=y&keyword1=startup%20manager it has it's own thread.
    Hoping this'll help you.
    Take care

    Have a great weekend ewveryone!
And don't forget the golden rule!
Take care and enjoy life 10.gif

Wow, what a great church and cemetary. It's looks great, the way it runs up the hill and the use of park and fences, great work. I also really like the rural main street. Very typical gamut of small businesses. In picture 11 is the truck stop a single lot, or a combo of several pieces?

    Hello

You are right, it is fun to learn some words in other languages (except if you have to learn 30 words in one time for school). If I don't know a word in English I often use babelfish.altavista.com, but some times the translation is very strang 46.gif
btw: When is the next update?
    Tot ziens! 18.gif

    Hey John,

First off, the Church and attached cemetary is sheer brilliance. Beautiful job done there my friend.

I am totally impressed and amazed at all the slope work you are doing. You really have a knack for creating wonderfully sloped, rolling hills.

The little main street area is a nice touch as well. Those types of setup are seen in my little part of the world all the time.

    Enjoy your weekend.....beer.gif

Anduin Valley is getting better by the post Darmok! Your farmlands look wonderful. Thanks for clearing up my question on the roundabout, I was trying to make the roundabout with the road. I didn't think of the one way road but I have it working now. I am looking forword to more updates. Take care.

That was a stunning update! 44.gif

The farm looks great, and Calenhad is looking amazing! The church looks great, and very realistic with the cemitary out the back.

I don't know why but this town reminds me of Green Depra's town of Canilla, I don't know what, but something seems familiar! 18.gif

You've developed this area very well, and quickly! A lovely update, well done darmok! You are the king!

    Hi Phil,
Thanks man. The truck stop is a single lot I found a long time ago on the STEX.

    ThomasAH
    Hallo Thomas
I agree about Babel Fish, it's really not the best out there, but it can help at times!
    The next update is now!
    tot ziens.

    Dan
I wanted kind of a "condensed" or "all in one" kind of concept for this one.
And I must say that several of your churches setup inspired me!
The sloping idea I took from Bernhard, I just tried to do it my way (hey, that rings a bell... I did it myyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyy.... )
    Hum... back on track
Hehehe, those long main street are also a reality where I come from, most of the small towns are using the "we build along the road" theme!
Weekend was good weather excellent, lots of sun and the (*&?( snow is now melting!
    Have a great week!

    Metropolis
Don't mention it, I had the same problem, took me some time to figure out that a roundabout IS a curved oneway!
    Take care

    Micah
    Thanks Micah

    Choco
About the similarity between our CJ I guess we're both nature freaks! 18.gif
And yes those small towns are developing quite fast.
Thanks for the compliments mate, but don't make me blush here! 43.gif
    Take care

    Rooker1
I guess I would be too! How many days now? must be very close!
Take care, and give us some news as soon as you know!

    Jacky
Hehehe, what can I say we were born in the snow! but as I said to Dan, it's now beginning to melt! Spring is a wonderful time of year! Its like a rebirth!
    Take care lass!

    Awesome update Darmok.

I wonder why that Inn there is such a love nest. It'll be hard for a girl to attract a man's attention. That pond is serious competition 18.gif.

Great details once again, also in that residential neighborhood. That gaz station is a nice touch.

    Take care my friend.

    Hey Darmok

How's it going. My wife is having Brackstin Hick Contractions(I think that's how you spell it) now (the fake ones) so I'm going to guess we are very close to labour.

Anyways the pics are awesome. I esspecially like the pond. You say I have an eye for detail. Let me point out to everyone that youe eye is very good too. The road that comes close to the waters edge has a fence. Just like there would be in RL. I also think the shape of the pond is very pleasing to the eye.

Second of all, the res. area is great. The main road only feeds the res area, no through roads. I bet those Sims are happy living in that quite part of town.

Another great update, can't wait for the next one!!!

    29.gif

P.S I went to the cycle dogg site to check out that modd I was asking you about and it doesn't work any more or least for me. It sends me to some other page.

    Any other ideas??????
