Woah! I can't belive I missed an update! Gosh, whats wrong with me? 18.gif

Those were stunning updates my friend. The MOM is massive! Its one big mall, I bet it could service the entire Anduin Valley region! And then some! The stadium looks great, and I love how you have created an entire area around it of buildings, devoted to the stadium. A bit like real life.

It looks very realistic and you've made those traditional Maxis buildings look great with all your details! Usually they don't look too good but you've brought a whole new life to them! 19.gif

I can feel that that whole area in between the mall and the stadium is going to be great! It all looks so realistic so far, especially with all the parking and such.

Again, great updates my friend. And you're right, we should skip over the mush stuff! 18.gif

EDIT: Congradulations on the new page Darmok.
WELCOME TO PAGE 67 OF THIS BEAUTIFUL JOURNAL!

John,

Yet another great update.  All of the legal and financial buildings in there...awesome.  You know as well as I do they will never step foot in any of those buildings...they have too much money to pay others to do it for them! 17.gif

And of course, the humor of the inn and their lives being so rough was not lost on me either...great update...

Merry Christmas my friend... keep em coming... 44.gif

Even I make some bad jokes from time to time, like once a year and since we're nearing the end of 2005, I thought, why not now... 2.gif.

Merry Christmas Darmok!

Great update. I like that area very much, with all those sports facilities (obviously they all have something to do with sports...). And if you're in negociations with the NHL, I'm sure you'll need all of them...

Take care my friend.

- Phil

First off John, I trust that you and your family have had a wonderful Christmas weekend.  Life is just now getting back to normal here.  The update was excellent.  You once again made incredible use of custom content, showing why you received so many Trixie nominations.  I really liked all the connections between the City Court and the Bureau.....with the parking lots mixed in, it is truly your typical awesome work.  **On a hockey side note, a newphew of ours on the wife's side of the family has been getting scouted pretty regularly.  He will be going off to play in the juniors next year, which will make him eligible to enter the NHL entry draft when he turns 18.  If he doesn't get picked up by the NHL, he'll go play college hockey and then try for the NHL again.......end side note**

Glad to see that Maggot's is branching out and taking advantage of some great markets.......

Have a great week my friend.  Cheers....

Very nice update, Darmok! I love what you do around the buildings, all the paths and trees. You really pay alot of detail to the things I just fly over! 3.gif Also those food joinst around the stadium are realistic. At Frank Clair Stadium (where the Renegades play), there's a couple of Pizza Pizza's nearby, and they are always really really REALLY crowded!

Anyways, I you you have a good new year and a good res of your holiday season!

    Hey Choco!
That's exactly the point, big enough for the whole region. Thanks for the uplifting comments and welcoming to the 67th page. And some of the Maxis buildings are really adequate, it's just that's some of them do have a plain vanilla look!
See ya in Green Depra, Take care!

And if I'm not mistaken I think it's the first time I have been offered the BOB!

Yep, you're right.. What would a ritzy sector be without a Mercedes Dealership? I think I'll pick up a Black Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. 10.gif

Tennis courts along the street.. and then the Ruby Tuesday next to it.. hmm.. sounds good to me.. what a nice pool next to them both. The people of Palm Point are happy with your support in the Bandfest!

    1.gif

    Nice, John!

Amazing update Darmok. I really like how this sector's coming along. Very nice theme indeed and pretty expensive too I guess...

Happy New Year my friend. Good luck in 2006!

John my friend...another update in the books.  And this one is just as good as all of the others!  The entertainment district has just enough additional zones built in to really make it functional.  All of the restaurants (which may I say were good selections), the residential high-wealth condos, the regular theatre, all of it is just great.

The whole area just looks great...you and I will have to meet at the Hard Rock Cafe - Anduin Valley to have a few drinks.  I feel like doing some drunken dancing...haven't done that in a while! 17.gif

Great work my friend...good luck in the new year... 16.gif  keep em coming! 44.gif

    Great update!

And it was a big one too! Very entertaining, thanks! I really like those big buildings, they fit in very well in that area and they are well selected choice of buildings!

The small ones look fantastic as well, especially all the great details dotted around that cute little water park! The whole area is really coming alive and is looking beautiful! I especially love how it has included so many trees!

    Cheers, choco.

Darmok, the amount of work and finess you put into your cities is rather amazing - as shown in your sports complex on the previous page. and i love those seemingly ever-present fall (aka PEG seasonal) trees shown in many shots. yes, i like many of the shots you have given us, but i really like those fall shots.
    keep up the great work.

John my friend, what another incredible update you have given us.  A couple of things that really caught my eye.  The first is the promenade type walking area that runs from the Arena near the Hard Rock over to what I think I remember being the IMAX.  What a great looking spot in some of those closeups, not to mention the character that lends to the area.

The new zoning you did near the canal that has the tarmac trail running behind it and then subsequently connecting to other attractions in the area.

The parting shot(s), are in a word, awesome.  You never disappoint my friend.

Here is to you and your family in 2006.

    Chris
If you want that black car, be my guest, though the insurance premium alone is enough to bankrupt any regular person! 2.gif
And the Bandfest is a very good thing for both our regions!
    Take care!

    PhilsCafe
Hi Phil, well you know what they say! Money attracts money! It sure ain't the cheapest sector in Osgiliath!
Thanks for your kind wishes my friend and may 2006 brings you all the success you deserve!

    Jacky
Glad you liked the chopper ride.
Thanks for the good wishes and I hope 2006 will see the rise of your CJ! Wait! I've already said that before! Hummmm, well wishing it twice will make it true! 18.gif

    Jason
Usually restaurants goes hand in hand with sporting or cultural events! They're a good place to finish the night! Would you believe if I told you that I never set foot in any Hard Rock Caf

Woohoo! Thanks for the passport. I think I'd like to take up residence in that beauty of a building in picure 7 in the second from last update. The right hand building, btw, what is that building, it's a beauty.
A very nice update that was too!
