Thanks man! I've queried the station you asked for, I was sure it was an IlTonkso bat, but the only thing the query returned is Ground Light rail station! no other name whatsoever! I hope someone else can direct you to this lot! Sorry! In the meantime I'll do a search in my plugin directory to see if I can find it.

Glad you appreciated the hospital sector and Hook lake, (the name came as an afterthought) Yeah I thought that the glr and market would go well together and it did, as I often say, sometimes we're lucky! And I was looking for a small wink to YAH and I don't know why but this came to mind (really incurable...)

Glad to see you back! BTW I had the very same problem, (with the old box that is) but I could salvage the old CPU. I bought a new motherboard and now all is OK so now my wife as a new box to replace her old P2-233. The dirt street is only there because there wasn't any zoning yet. It'll disapear soon enough. I've now discarded the dirt street mod, I ound it difficult to deal with at times, would be great to have a REAL dirt street tool so we could place them where we want and KEEP them as dirt if we want.

Hey Phil, I think that this was probably the best setup I've done so far for the markets, the GLR helped a lot in that matter! Good eye for the shadows in the crossing picture! Glad you appreciated the litlle wink with the hospital name, as for YAH's mail service the name came naturally. And no I didn't modify the hospital lot, just added some fences by jeroni and a transit enabled entrance.

I'm really pleased to see that you like AVR so much Dsrwhat, . And to be honest, the placement and zoning are not always planned, sometimes I just wing it! I try something, if I don't like what I see I blast away and then redo until I like it. Sometimes I can redo a sector 2 or three times. I don't think you could run a REAL city that way!

Hey Jason, to tell you the truth I didn't go fishing for a long time now, (when I was working as a forest ranger we used to go every other evening!) but now in the city the lakes are not that accessible! Oh! the smell of a fresh trout in the pan! Ahhhh memories!  Maybe next summer!

Hi Steve, at first I had dillapidated buildings, and I'm sure I do have some now as well, the truth of the matter is: I use a non dillapidation mod as suggested by one of the posters, (sorry I don't remember who right now!) and found it very useful for the kind of city I wanted. If I was to do an industrial kind of region with a tough look I would not use it though, you have to go with what you want to achieve, as for myself I've decided for some time now, that I'd use SC4 as a LEGO set or a box of crayons and have FUN with it, that's all. For me that's one of the key element!

Don't mention it for the link, I'm glad to help. That pond was kind of an accident, I was about to terraform the whole sector near the highway, when I just realized that a small lake would fit there nicely, so I tried and found it wasn't half bad. Thanks for those kind words about the waterfront, I really wanted for Osgiliath to keep a more natural look and with Peg rock's mod it turned out OK.

Nice job with the layout of the City Hall and monument across the street.  Looks really good.

 

I use the highway technique quite often....It seems to give just the right amount of grade to the road surfaces.....

 

What I like about the road layout you showed in the next couple of pics is the addition of the fountain and the building right across from the walkway.  That building fits there very nicely.  I also like the little walkway lined with what looks like pink flowers....Very nice touch.

 

Did the Condo grow or did you plop?  Just curious becuase it fits the area like a glove.

About the kink: I always get angry that it is almost impossible to get a nice slope that is smaller than the maximum slope of the traffic way. and doesn't your pic demonstrate how pleasant a smooth slope is to a spectators eye? I do hope that maxis will work on that on SC5 (if it ever will be released) ...

P2-233 - if I could have salvaged the cpu, well, she has a p3-450 ...

OMG!!! Awesome update, D-man! It looks fantastic. I especially love that lake and the condo overlookin' it. Those residents will have some mighty sights before them. I'm also wonderin', exactly how did ya get the medium City Hall? Before my comp died (unfortunately, I gotta start again from the beginnin', downloads, mods, all that ) my city had over 200,000 sims in it. How DID ya get that awesome city hall?!? Again, spectacular update, man. Keep it up!

Whew...another fine update.  I'm sitting here watching the Macy's Parade and trying to catch up on some posts...  It is a big competition, you versus them.  I can't figure out which is more entertaining to watch.  Especially with Christina Applegate dancing around in front of Macy's Department Store in a skimpy dress right now!!

The attention to detail in this is sublime. i'm really liking the pond and trial around it. the occasional autumn tree really adds a bit of diversity. Ive viewed this CJ on and off for awhile - i'll be coming back more often

All right, I thought the parking lots were part of the lot. I'm glad that it's a Swiss clinic by the way, and not a bank for once (although I'm sure there also is a blood bank ).

The condo towering over Hook Lake looks beautiful. Such a nice BAT combined with that nice setting around the lake, amazing.

Not to forget the nice park near city hall. Nice scenery.

Thanks, YAH, I think I still have an old view master somewhere in an old box, but the thing is, it's still available! If you make a reasearch on Google with View Master, you'll find some pictures... the one I have was bought by my father in 1955 so it's an old model, at that time you inserted the discs vertically, nowadays you insert them horizontally. So yes they're old and yet they're still there!

I'm also gonna say this: EXCELLENT work with the GLR, man! It's great to see that ya got those tramways up 'n runnin' finally, and I'm sure this is just the beginnin'. Too bad not many people took those awesome El-Trains, but I think this more than makes up for it!

Looking as great as ever with the way you present ur pictures and the layout of your development, i always wonderd why you had all those bits of road dotted all around the place, but now i know why. I still would love to know how you have done the effects on your photo's using photoshop, the only thing i know how to do on it is make things lighter with the dodge tool , and maybe change the entire photo in 1 click, anyway, nice updates. I'm still waiting for you visit in River Basin, my cj.

Thanks man, it was the main idea, as far as I had one for Osgiliath! LOL To mix things up, where I live it's almost like that, we have buildings ranging from 10 to 30 stories, with low rise appartments buildings and 2 or 3 story houses nearby! The BAT I baptised (or should I say BATised ) Shadow Acres is really good looking! For those interested it's Metropolis Apartments by sam_lawrence

Yep that infamous kink, even with the BRF Slope mod, modified by Jeroni, It still appears from time to time! As for the box I finished putting it up with all the windows updates, anti-virus, firewall etc. today she's now the proud owner of a Athlon XP 1700+ and believe you me, shes quite happy about it!

Following my first HD crash, now I do back up the savegames and the plugin directory and every month or so I burn a dvd with those backups. We learned by being burned I guess. The City Hall is part of a pack, I think it's this one : All 3 CityHalls Modd Reward fix
