Bombadil Museum .. actually Tom Bombadil was the one person / story I was missing mostly in the movies ...

The elTrain next to the great Erdmoebel BATs reminds me of Berlin ... Did you know that there had been a house where the S-Bahn (Berlin'S ElTrain) Passed through floor 2 and 3? 5 stiory house, basement first, 4th and 5th floor like others but 2nd/3rd floor only stairs and rails ... I saw it only on an old photo since it was destroyed in WWII.

Nice place for Gascooker's George! Until now I usewd it mainly in villages together with his Residentials but this way it sure loks good too!

St.Nardo station ... 42.gif37.gif44.gif

How come ?!? ... 9.gif17.gif

I can't wait to find out.20.gif. In the newly terraformed area. Will it be parks, commercial, residential, a combo of the above or something completely different?42.gif This should be interesting. I'll stay tuned.29.gif

You are, once again, killin me dude.  I actually looked over the update early, early this morning, which I guess was appropriate, since I was out late last night protecting the many fields that the good folks at Molsen harvest2.gif  Anyway, I was in no way capable of replying last night, although I got quite the chuckle from the update.

First off, it sounds like you got your LE problems mostly sorted out.  My understanding about LE is that for growables and ploppables, you would actually have two different lots in your plugin folder.  From what tab in LE did you add the trees?  Was the flora tab?  If so, that could be the deal why they aren't showing up.  I believe those items only grow in place while in game instead of showing up like props.

Ok, so you did say you were gonna get me back.......St. Daniel's, I'm sure my wife would argue that point.  Nice use of the El Train.  I think that the EL and the Mono are some of the more difficult transit lines to get right.  It looks good here.

Auuughh, More Tech Shots2.gif, come on now, you know that most of us here enjoy such pics.

Actually, that was a pretty good line there for pic# 10......I know I laughed out loud.....of course it may have just been my favorite Canadian Necter at work.

I really like the station....That is a nice looking BAT.  I look forward to watching this area develop.

As always, great job my friend.  I always learn a little something new when visiting AV.  Enjoy the weekend.

Join the club, lol. I'm stuck with texturing problems that I still haven't found a way to solve. gmax doesn't want to cooperate with me at the moment. 20.gif

History repeats itself. Once again I realized that a new update was posted way too late in the evening and yes, there they were...black spots dancing in front of my eyes 46.gif18.gif.
It's another great update ( even the tech shots) and I just love the location of the church close to the cliff with no parking area in sight. It looks so peaceful among the trees.

Have a great weekend.

I have a bit of free time on account of the rain, so here's a few answers.

And hey! This is also my 900th post! (I think I'll celebrate that tonight!) 39.gif

    SOME ANSWERS

    Alek (twice)
Let me thank you for helping SYM Productions with the patch question, I don't mind at all, and let me say that I'm humbled when I read that you consider me an expert. 43.gif
I really appreciate your comments and support Alek, take care buddy.

    sloppet (twice)
Thanks sloppett, and I think I'll manage an update for tomorrow night.

    bartinator
Hey Bart, long time no see!
Thanks for the visit and encouragement!

    ChicAgo333
Don't worry about missing some updates man, we all do at times. So much great CJ, and so little free time! Thanks for your support! 44.gif

    PhilsCafe
Hi Phil, Thanks! As for the planned out transportation network, the first layout is more of a rough draft, I usually adjust it when the real development begins, but I found that when I do use such a draft it helps a lot for the rest of the process.
I really like those parking lots they are the
NDEX Parking Lots by Ardecila by Equinox
they are very realistic looking AND transit enabled too boot!
    Take care!

    yaptszwai
Well as I've said many times it's not much, but a small gesture to say that I appreciate your support!
Glad you liked the update, and you can find the station
    there
click on the BAT link, then on the page 4 link, and it's the last bat of the page.
    Take care!

    chocolatemax285
    Hi chocolate,
Thanks for all those great compliments! 43.gif I appreciate that you're taking the time to voice your opinion!

    SYM Productions
Welcome to Anduin Valley SYM Productions, for your question, look at Aleking answer, which is right on the money! It's probably the oldest terraforming trick in SC4, (though time consuming, moreso if you have a large map/city/ and a slow computer 46.gif ).
And thanks for the appreciation 44.gif

    meinhosen
Yep sometimes I have that same problem, my doctor called it blackus patchititis 18.gif
I really like that little church! It's just like a mini-cathedral, lovely architecture!
    take care man!

    Jacky
I had a similar problem last week, almost a full day without internet access!
And don't worry about missing an update once in a while Jacky, we all have RL and can't be expected to spend it all online hey! I enjoy reading your comments, and if you like the Museum, I'll probably post an update shot of it, perhaps this weekend if I can finish the modification on it with the Lot Editor.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    Nardo
I agree that Bombadill is sorely missed in the movies, but so is the part of the scouring of the shire, I would have loved to see that instead of the 20 minutes intro of Smeagol. But editorial choices had to be made and I loved the movies anyway (would have taken 5 films to do those great books justice) hum back to the update!
I'm glad that you, of all people, liked the station area, (I honestly don't know where I picked up the name though!!!) 2.gif
Thanks for that history lesson, very informative, and quite unusual for a station! Was it really a house? I mean with people living there! Or commerces?
Glad you liked the name of the station, I just wanted to make a little funny gesture for a friend!

    Mach's gut!

    sorchin
I'm still amazed at each new page! This community is really thriving and supportive! 19.gif
And I guess that I could have used some ice after all that patching away! 18.gif
And as for what's comming there, you'll have to wait a bit, probably tomorrow. Just answering these post here is taking about 90 minutes! BUT I love it 44.gif44.gif
    Thanks for your great support!

    Deathtoall
Hey DTA, thanks for your comments man! I appreciate! 44.gif

    MayorTim
Hi MayorTim, glad to see you back! and thanks for your kind words and welcoming to page 53!

    your_adress_here
Thanks YAH, and the update should come tomorrow (I hope)
    Take care!

    Dan
    Hi there!
Well as for that malt field protection thing, what can I say, it's a dirty job but...the best man got it... 2.gif (or something like that!)
So you were indulging in some Molson fine line of products, hummmm! I must say that the EX (for Export) is my regular poison. But my heart (and tastebuds) are with Guiness, (unfortunately my wallet disagree 34.gif ).

Well I guess I still have a LOT to learn, with the LE, I'll try tonight to find some trees or other things in the Props tab (I indeed used the flora tab the first time). I'll keep you informed on this.

Don't hurry about the sainthood thing my friend, and I'm sure that your wife wouldn't want to be married to one either, cause.... you know...there are things that Saints....well you got the picture! 2.gif

Thanks about your comments about the EL, I'm not very comfortable with it 47.gif, it's kind of alien to me and I really don't know how to use it, or place it for that matter in a realistic fashion!

Hey you liked one of my jokes! (Note to self: be carefull you're losing your touch!)
Naaahhh, must've been the Molson! 2.gif

I really like that big station, downloaded it, and it was probably the incentive I needed to try the EL. But I have other ideas for that particular station. (Still experimenting).

Thanks for your visit my friend, enjoy the rest of the weekend and take care!

P.S. While watching over the malt fields at Halloween night, if you see The Great Pumpkin, Linus ask you to say hello for him!
P.P.S. You see, I just can't resist a bad joke!

    Pika
Thanks man! I just seen that you've made a new update! I'll go and comment there soon as my post here is finished!
    Take care

    sandra
    Hi Sandra,
Yeah, I'm really a newbie with the LE, let alone the BAT, I've tried it a few times, but I think I'll go slow with it! I'll try to have a good understanding of the LE first! 21.gif

As I said to Meinhosen, that church is one of my favorites, It's really great looking, hard to miss with such quality material.

As for the black spots, don't worry, I'm known for my bad jokes! 2.gif (Ask Dan!)

Always a pleasure reading you Sandra, enjoy your weekend too.

    Take care everybody!

    Jacky Pika and Yaptswai

Thanks folks, 44.gif I just have a minute between the football game and the hockey game of our 16 years old!

Just a little pic to show the little changes to the Bombadill Museum. I'm a real newbie with the LE. 34.gif

So I just changed the palm trees for some more urban ones!

    <img align=baseline>

    Hey, John.

I understand the LE can be somewhat confusing at first but you'll really find how useful it can be once you get into it. And then you'll find how useful it can be, since you can make just about anything you like with it. You just have to mess around with it for a little while. 19.gif

Anyway, on to the updates. Okay, I see I've missed a few great updates. I really am liking the church in that area surrounded by the beautiful houses. St-Nardo's station looks very nice! The parking lots around it add a very realistic look. I see you are using the small power plants as well, they are so useful, don't ya think? 25.gif

    Take care, my friend 1.gif

    John,

I thought I had already replied to the latest update, but alas it is gone again.  I wonder what happened... 42.gif  That isn't the least of my problems though, since my account was locked all weekend and I couldn't do anything! 46.gif

Anyway, I'll paraphrase what I wrote before...I really like the church and how you incorporated it in to the surrounding area.  And don't worry about the tech shots...even if you think they are boring they are an essential tutorial to all of the newbies that are wondering how best to terraform their regions.  You're an inspiration.

Take care my friend...great work... keep em coming... 44.gif

WOW. I never would have thought that this show and tell pic would generate so much support and encouraging comment! As I said I'm really a newbie with this thing, so I'll keep experimenting and trying new things.

    Alek
Thanks pal, I really appreciate the support, It'll keep me trying my hand at this. 19.gif

    Chris
Yep, confusing is the word, 47.gif I'll keep at it, problem is mostly the lack of time these days!
And yes those solar plants have a high tech and ecological look that I really like! And it's a nice alternative to those windmills.
    Take care!

    Jason
Twighlight zone again for the posts hey! 22.gif Since I first lost one, what I do now is after I've posted I do a refresh on the CJ to be sure it's still there! But still, it's a weird thing! 42.gif ***hearing strange music in the background***
Yeah the tech shots, they're a mixed blessing, I know I like seeing them in other CJ's, cause it's fun to learn new things, but I sure like the finished shots as well! 3.gif
BTW, I don't know if you have the time to read these days (with the family and all! 2.gif ), but I just begun Michael Crichton's State of Fear, read a hundred pages or so, good book!
    Take care my friend

    Pooty
I didn't realize it was your hospital Pooty! I had it for some time now and didn't find a good setup for it yet, but when I saw the result of that small plateau I had the idea of this hospital with the Indoors Sport Center nearby. I find it (the hospital) very life like, it has a no-nonsense look.
    Glad you appreciate! 44.gif

    Dan
Even an old dog can learn new trick I guess! 18.gif. Going slowly but steady!
I'll probably PM you with some little questions I still have a bit later, if you don't mind.
Also see Jason answer for a good book suggestion.
    Enjoy the week my friend!

    Phil
Thanks Phil, yeah I really do believe It'll ad a bit of variety in AVR, my main problem is mostly to find some free time these days!
    Thanks and take care!

    John,

Another great update.  You just keep pulling them out of...well, nevermind...I'll leave the bad jokes to your and Dan! 17.gif2.gif

Anyway, I like the area.  I would have one suggestion though...with the water plant (and the power plant)...the solar generator lot for the water plant isn't encapsulated within the confines of the facility like everything else.  From a Homeland Security standpoint...this would be an easy target.  Blow up the generator and there is no water! 7.gif14.gif  Maybe even encapsulate the power plant and use Dan's security entrance for the same reason.

Speaking of Dan's security entrance...with you working with LE now maybe you should find a way to replace the walls with the security fences instead so that your installations have a uniform look at the entrances (Sorry Dan, but the walls don't look the same as the fences in some instances. 2.gif )

Anyway, now that I tore apart your update... 2.gif I like the moving of the graves...they do look good around the memorial.  And as always, I really like the parking in between and behind your commercial and residential development...tres relistic and ultra modern to say the least. 19.gif

Oh yeah, as for the book...time, you mean you actually think I have spare time? 42.gif17.gif17.gif17.gif18.gif2.gif  I'll have to remember that one the next time I need to tell a joke...that was a good one.  Oh, what? It wasn't a joke...oh...well...I have no free time. 2.gif

Great update as always my friend... keep em coming... 44.gif

    Welcome to Anduin Valley!
I'm always surprised (in a pleasant way, that is) when a new visitor takes the time to read all those pages! Hats off to
    you!
Thanks for taking the time and effort to read all this, and do come back anytime you want! We love having visitors in Anduin Valley!
    Take care

    Jason
Yeah, let the bad jokes to the pros! 21.gif First you don't have the time 2.gif , and second....you just don't have the time!
Suggestions well taken, and yes I guess that now that I (modestly) use the LE I could try to modify Dan's security gate (or try to, for that matter! 31.gif ) But for what I want to do I guess I'll need some pointers. Since the begining of Osgiliath I was looking at that park and wanted something more, so out of the blue the idea of moving in some graves came! 37.gif
Too bad you don't have some free time to read! 34.gif

Always good to read you my friend enjoy the week (if you have the time 18.gif )

Probably the Overview picture and the neat little park cemetary. I like how you used PEGS Gates. Very origianal29.gif
