Something I noticed: In the left hand version, the rail-road/street intersections are still right-hand. (So they look like those in andy33b's picture for left hand drive.) Can someone reverse them?

I don't know about the situation in Singen, but from my experience in most parts of Rheinland-Pfalz, Hessen etc. you can find the situation as it is described. Technically speaking, we put that upside down for SimCity, so traffic-light-controlled road intersections have zebra crossings, whereas real-life intersections usually don't have these (in my area). But as I said before, it's merely a matter of design, and IMO it looks quite cool the way it is now.

Well here in Denmark all pedestrian crossings are marked with the zebra pattern. Even at the light controlled intersections.

      SRRS
      SRRS
SSSSZZSSSS
RRRZRRZRRR
RRRZRRZRRR
SSSSZZSSSS
      SRRS
      SRRS

R = Roas, S = Side and Z for zebra.

If theres a crossing of a road (no intersection) it's zebra striped and usually marked with overhead signs and / or yellow blinking lights.

If the crossing is very heavily used there might be stop lights (red yellow green) for traffic.

Regarding the mod. Can't wait to get it installed. I especially love the arrow marked turn left or right lanes at the intersections look very realistic for Denmark.

And finally - for those of you who use the Bus Blocker lots I released way back when (does anyone actually use them? Well, I hope at least a few people do), I've made a version with the new texture. This will appear in the menus alomgside the others: <ahttp://img139.exs.cx/img139/1837/euro29fv.jpg align=baseline>

Can anyone out there modify these bus-blocker lots into other blocker-type lots (like freight truck or car or everything but bus)? I know that other people have certain lots like this (actually, only aware of the diamond-lane lots for roads), but if someone could do a finishing set of morifari's lots, then that'd be excellent. If someone would like to take this task, I can supply a set of graphics (proper-sized diamond, no truck logo, etc) as I am a graphic sign designer, but not much of a SC4 programmer/designer.

Thanks,

For the bus only roads, see the Bus Lanes Thread . The UK version is nearly complete, and other versions will follow.

@ussagus: The highway textures are far from complete, so there are still some odd pieces. Maybe frimi2 will work on these, too, but not before 2006. The turning lanes are included in the Network Addon Mod. BTW, please resize your pic, the maximum size should be 800x600.

The Network Addon Mod is a fan-made addition to the game, extending the traffic network. For a download link, go to Simtropolis' homepage and scroll down a bit. Inside the download you'll find an extensive readme file that explains all changes and addition that were made to SimCity's traffic network.

Update notice!

I've updated the  Euro Road Textures Mod on the STEX. The NAM textures for the left-hand drive version turning lanes are now included in the installer, and frimi2 fixed a bug with the NAM road overpasses, where one texture was missing. He also found some doubled textures in the zzz1_NAM_eurotex.dat, so the file is actually smaller than before.

Mac users can find a ZIP version on SimsZone.de. The site is in German, look for the Download ZIP (Mac) link in the second download entry (Euro-Stra

I'm assuming this was the texture for the Elevated Road Start / Finish Puzzle Piece because this showed up the original road texture when I was using it. And i'm not sure if this was a bug or something but sometimes the road turning lane textures didn't align. But still thanks for the update. I'll download it right away.

Hey Andreas, I cannot open your version of the Euro Road Mod. It says it's still undergoing updating. Unless it gets fixed soon, could you put the installer up on here? Thanks ahead of time.

Is it possible to keep the One-Way Road Arrows Modification file only or do I also need the Euro Road Textures Modification as a dependacy?

Can I also request a mod that uses a single solid yellow line for all roads in medium and high density zones in all wealths instead of the traditional double yellow line? In the city of Vancouver, BC, Canada, we have a single yellow solid line in most places instead of the double yellow line that the nearby municipality of Richmond usually uses.

EDIT: An example:

Of course, the photographers get credit for this picture. 44.gif
Can you see the single yellow solid line in the bottom of the picture?

Yes, you can use One-Way-Arrows without the Euromod.

That needs thousands of textures. Much work 19.gif

You mean the single oneway arrows? Yes, simply keep the zzz4_oneway_arrows.dat and delete all other files.
