A large cream pie flys though the air and hits vidioman full in the face. Oops, sorry about that, but the autosystem seems to think that's what you wanted. Hands him a towel.

@ Fred_Ginger: Maybe you could pull it out of vid's back. The autosystem seems to be feeling a little fey today. From punched cards to micros. That pretty much sums up the history. I go a little further back to punched paper tape. You know, the advantage of PPT is that you can't get it out of order by dropping it.

@ SYM Productions: Let's give a cheer. The magnanamous buyers with their virtual simoleons are trying to save bits for the bucket. Thanks.

More fooling around with CIV IV today. You can configure it for single-player quick start. It can quickly get you into all kinds of wars and things that way. Whew! This game is easily as addictive as SC4.

@hym: The grilled Restigouche salmon is not the most expensive item. You could try the filet of beef, Wellington; or the chateaubriand, but the most costly item is the arctic char steak. Everything costs the same in the factory, though. Just a thought or two. Paper tape. Did you dad tell you it could be repaired? We had some mylar patches that were punched with all rub-outs but were nice and sticky.

@ gggg: Hot tea it is. Also enjoy the chicken soup with eggies, and matzoth. You can have a decongestant for dessert.

@ vidioman: Poopies? You mean chocolate chips, or bird droppings? Anyway, you are right about it getting to be poppy day. In Flanders fields, the poppies blow/Beneath the crosses, row on row, ...

@ zmveliger: Yes, the French pot had better be careful calling the American kettle black, eh? I don't think the world will ever completely recover from colonialism. Here's your moose steak, but you have to be sure it is not a moose stake. We normally serve this with fiddleheads and baked potatoe, so enjoy.

@ Fred_Ginger: Ah, yes, 10,000 pick up. It was a great game wasn't it. If that happened to us, we would have to run the whole works through an 083 sorter, then a sequence check. Took all night.

@ Leech10: Darned zukes are so cute. What are you drinking tonight?

Poopies, as in fecal matter coming out of an anus. (that's really good talk for a restaurant, eh?)

This morning, I was on the bus, and the bus driver (who is also my cousin, and dresses as santa around christmas for the canned food drive) stopped at a grocvery store, and got everyone a banana, for breakfast he said. Imagin, when he went around the corner to pick up the next passenger, and when the got on, everyone was eating bananas...

It seems that a lot of people here have previous experience with computers.  We ought to establish a corner in the building somewhere so all of us geeks can talk tech.  Wait, we can do that right at the bar.

Speaking of the bar, can I get a root beer?  And I guess I would like a chicken pot pie to with that.

    Hi customers of Moose Factory...

@vidioman: Quebec was still part of the Canada the last time I checked on a map...3.gif3.gif

@N_O_Body: colonialism, slavery... The only thing that is sure for the future is that greedy people will continue exploiting those in precarious situation as much as they can, no matter how we name it.

@Voar Tok: no need for Advil, chicken is full of medicine and hormones!

@MsD: Your squirrel is cute. You look fine too. If you would like to see me, look on my site here.

@Voar Tok: Computers? Never heard of 'em. autosystem service completes. Enjoy your chicken. We insist on field raised birds.

@vidioman: I don't think that scatology is suitable for the restaurant. Please don't do that again.

@ zmveliger: The greedy we will always have with us. It becomes a matter of control. Notwithstanding comments by vid and others, not only does my Canada include Quebec, but all must honour it. In case people never noticed, the first Governor General of Canada was Samuel de Champlain (Here Before Canada or HBC for short). Now the Governor General is a poor immigrant girl from Hispaniola who came with little and achieved much. And she is still Fracophone. And she has the panache of growing up in Quebec. She is the best looking of any we have ever had.

I'm happy that I'm going to get to release something to the Omnibus shortly.  Been part of the SHS for a few weeks and haven't released anything.15.gif  Although in my defense, I bit off a really big project that will take months to finish.

We didn't have that luxury, had to manually sort them, got pretty quick at it though.
Voar tak, I use to think I was computer savvy considering my experiences with them but as time has gone by I seem to become less and less literate and have become what my sister calls a techno-phobe (she's an archaeologist and runs the computer section for that dept at U of CA, Sacramento), I can't even seem to remember DOS commands - I guess when I retired and did a data dump I dumped everything! 17.gif
MsD your squirrel is darling - when I'm on the game computer I'm in the front of my house where I can look out the window and sometimes I'll just sit and watch the squirrels playing and chasing each other.  You should hear the thump the make when they jump on the roof!  It sounds like something is going to come crashing in!  They will chase each other around in the back racing on the fences and driving the dogs nutso - well Ginger was the one that chased them the most - she didn't want anyone/thing in her yard!  Fred is so blind with cataracts now that he can't see them.

@hym: Here's a bowl of cinnamon flavoured demerara sugar if it is not sweet enough. Help yourself. We look forward to your new article. Keep us informed.

@ Fred_Ginger: Aha, your call name is after your dogs. Elegant. We have a black walnut tree in our yard and two active dogs. Nevertheless, we are finding piles of walnut peelings about. I think they sneak in after dark and do their thing. Squirrels are sure neat with one of those green tennis balls. They very quickly peel them down to the nut, take the nut in their cheeks and hop the fence (6 feet) again. Cute little bounders. In addition to the blacks, we have several grays around here. Well, what can you expect in a protected provincial forest, eh?
