i suppose when i have time i'll ask peg how to make seasonal bats. one problem with having a variety of sports is the pitch sizes. and football (soccer) is almost all year round, it's just off for the summer. but i'll see what i can do.

on another note, i am having too many problems with trying to export anfield. i don't know what is going on anymore, i tried without nightlights, without the custom lods, without both and it still takes way too long to export on draft. and there is no way i am removing the seating because, although it takes up most of the polys, i have exported buildings with more than twice the amount of polys on my anfield.
so, what i think i'll do is post the model on the stex, or give it to a volunteer. this is only for draft rendering (for now) because i need to know if the custom lods will work so that i won't have to export the fences with the main building.
    thanx for any help

i am finished with most of the modeling. i'm going to test the custom lods to make sure they work. atm i am going to leave the roof closed until i figure out another way for the seating.

Now, it sure would be great if JEC could finish a project every now and then. 34.gif.

JEC- PLEASE could you at least send your model files to NDEX or someone, so someone else could do the lotting and modding bits? We're missing out on so much great stuff from you.

Are there any updates yet? I love all of these stadiums. They look so nice, just can't wait to put them in my cities.

Let me join the cries for a stadium to be released. Stop toying with us lol. To put up such beautiful pics, then leave us salivating is just cruel. 26.gif
Mostly kidding, of course. I know real life happens and frustrating problems with files happen and boredom with a project happens. But everyone seems to love what we've seen so far and we just want to finally get to plunk these down in our cities. So you either need to release one soon or do a crummier job on the previews so we don't get so excited. 17.gif
    Hope to see one soon.

Yeap, it is a bit cruel of you JEC to keep creating such wonderous beauties but to never upload them, a real tease.

ok, sorry i have been so cruel 48.gif

couple of things to get out of the way: my aunt died at the beginning of june. my dad was really stressed, he couldn't get a plane to london so he couldn't go to the funeral. that stress was somehow reverted back to me.
i just remembered i need to make a portfolio for some of the architecture schools i am applying to, but i need a better rendering program than the BAT.
so i downloaded blender; exporting a .gmax file to a .obj file and import that into blender takes too long and plus i am not familiar with the interface.
in result of that. i downloaded the trial version of 3d studio max; i know how to use that, i just need to figure out how to make an impressive render (messing around with lighting, reflections, etc.).
lastly, i was playing gta:san andreas for a bit, since i finished that, i guess i can continue doing the BAT.

BUT, i'll be going on holiday on saturday. i'll have my laptop which has the trial version of 3ds max but not the BAT, which means i will not be exporting anything to test or even...RELEASE something for a month.

during the month of july though, i need to redo some of my older buildings (oriente station, the path terminal, turning torso is done, and some bridges) for my potrfolio because the models are either gone, or do not show my more recent capabilities.

so, in conclusion, i am kind of screwed right now. and again, i truly do apologize about making everyone wait.

i do have some good news...i think i figured out a good way to export the arena, there might be some strange graphics with each seperate part, but when they are all put together, i think it will be ok.
