well, this is just bloody great. i'm glad you like it superstar, but it WAS awesome. i spent all of yesterday making this crap, all to find out that the file and every single one of the backups i had of the delle alpi will not open or merge into another scene or anything. i absolutely HATE gmax and the bat.
    hopefully de kuip won't follow.

If you're going to model de Kuip, could you also do one with an American football pitch? From the looks of it, it would look pretty good as a American football stadium.

dell Alpi is really cool. Have you ever been to Turin?

JEC: I like your sig. Latin's fun, since nearly no one in America understands it.

I'm so sorry for you. I know it's very frustrating when you lose some files. Delli Alpi looked great. Well, I hope this won't happen with the other stadiums. Of course, I look forward to see the Kuip ingame!3.gif Don't give up!

lol, ardecila. i think that quote is appropriate to what's going on with me right now, but luckily i have calmed down.
the file corruption isn't the first time, i should be used to it by now.
btw, i suppose i'll make an american football pitch as well for this:

seems to be a habit of this file corruption 15.gif
(if it happened to me the monitor would be out the window ages ago)
i hope the future projects will really turn out well and this new stadium is turning out good
i think you've found your style now with stadiums 44.gif

Brilliant Stadia, can never have too many Football Stadiums...

I'd love to see the San Siro or Celtic Park... There are two other grounds I'd like to see, but you seem to have enough on your pallette, so I won't burden you...

Keep up the Good Work, Looking Forward to seeing them on the STEX...

jwgazeley, i'm going to guess that one of your stadiums is Portmand Road, and the other Carrow Road?
btw, i'll be making Celtic Park after De Kuip.

oh, and my monitor would ahve been out the window, but it is a $1500 flat screen 6.gif(my old one broke because i hit it too much, there are holes in the wall because of it).

anyways, i have a point to this post, does anyone know if the shadows of the roof will cast upon the stands if the roof and stands are exported seperately?

    thanks again for your support.

There's a special technique to preserving the shadows. I can't really explain it, but I know rubik3 can, since he used it on the WTC.

There's also Olympiastadion, Bayern Munich's current home before they move to Allianz Arena. Another interesting stadium would be Stade Louis II, home to Monaco.

Another interesting stadium might be St. James Park, Newcastle (even though I'm an Arsenal fan) because it's asymetrical, but you have an excellent list already.

Huge fan of your stuff, as I've told you before, never figured out the Stadelhofen capacity problem, but I placed it at my airport, mainly for aesthetics, and of course it looks great. Thanks for all your work.

JEC, you could make thousands and thousands stadiums, but I don't you to be overworked.2.gif Maybe you can make some smaller stadiums? Or do you want to keep it big?

I live in the Rotterdam-area, and Feyenoord is my fav. team... So it would be totally awesome if I could have De Kuip in my cities!  And your version of the stadium looks pretty good!

i thought about olympiastadion, but jtportland made a tennis stadium inspired by it, so i don't think i'll do it (even though i do like it).
the stade louis II is different from what i would normally model for a stadium because it is a completely different style; but i do agree, it is very interesting.
i have also considered st. james park for the same reasons why i am making celtic park, along with other uk stadiums. after i finish de kuip and celtic park, i'm not sure which one i'll do (i suppose the one the most requested) or carrow road for a smaller stadium (perhaps).
    speaking of celtic park:
    Attachedhttp://picturehosting.simvision.net/uploads/post-34-1102549742.jpg>
i can't seem to find enough pictures of the entrance to de kuip, so that is why i started celtic park.

JEC your stadiums are awesome! You're trying to make so many different ones? I'm highly interested in de Kuip, and the Parc des Princes! Maybe I can help you for the entrance (de kuip) because I passing by it everytime I take the train back to my parents in the hague. Maybee I can take a photo though the train window!2.gif

When do you plan to release these stadiums???

flrscf, those photos are perfect, i can finish de kuip now.
timo, thanks for the offer, but i think i have enough know.
i still have one problem though which a photos from the train window can't do.
what exactly is in the area where the stairs are connecting to the entrance:
    Attachedhttp://picturehosting.simvision.net/uploads/post-34-1103245492.jpg>

at the moment, Celtic Park needs some textures and nightlighting as does Allianz Arena (the real nightlighting won't work for the BAT though). the modelling of de kuip may be finsihed tomorrow. i'll get a picture of the roof of the stadio olimpico in roma.
i'll be going on holiday sunday, so i'll try to get one of the stadiums exported by then (probably Allianz Arena since it is just about done).
