Well I certainly can help you JEC, but I need to know which entrance and stairs. I'm a little bit confused now. Do you mean the stairs between the building and the stadium or the normal stairs?

EDIT: My 200th post!!!!!!!!39.gif39.gif35.gif35.gif35.gif35.gif44.gif

Oh.. eh.. yeah... eh... ok... eh... those stairs.. yeah... well.. there's a.. eh... you know... eh... well.. eh... I... eh... don't... eh.... know.... sorry...15.gif

It's really a big mystery to me where those stairs going. I never been up there and I think i'm not able to or allowed to go up there. Yeah, I know it's shame that I don't know what's between that. But I think it's just an exit or entrance of the building (but not of the stadium!). It isn't the main entrance of the building, that's for sure! I will look carefully the next time I go there. And that would be on the 23 december I think.

A sign?? I don't see one ATM. Maybe you can show a better picture of the sign. Anyway, De Kuip looks awesome! Very good. The pitch texture is better IMO. Altough I'm not use to see the pitch like that.

Is it possible if you could do the Olympic Stadium in Montreal? I know there's quite a few out there, but I'd like to see a more accurate representation of the stadium (no offense to the authors of the other ones though)

well, my new computer has already had two viruses, but luckily i got rid of them both times. now i have anothother (different) virus and now i think my hard drive is blank or corrupted and i would need to do a full system recovery meaning everything will be lost. unfortunetely i do not have any backups of my files yet because i was too lazy to get a cd. now i'm paying the consequences.
if this is the case (i'll find out when my dad wakes up), you'll know what will be my future.

    i'm glad you like it.
apparently my pc won't load because a lot of system files are not there. the only option would be to do a full system recovery which deletes everything. however, my dad will take it to his office and ask someone (the same person who retrieved my previous files on my previous pc) to try to get some files. the only problem is that we will have to do that next year since we are going on holdiday tomorrow at 4 a.m. So, until then, no updates.

i'm also a bit confused. i never had so many problems with viruses on my other computers (all with the same antivirus software), but ever since i got this compaq, i have had three (different) viruses in three months. does anyone know if it is a problem with the compaq hardware, or because of something else?

i was bored today so i downloaded gmax onto my laptop.
this is something i wanted to do for a while, but never had the guts to do it. it was one of my favorite landmarks in simcity 3000, the Melbourne Cricket Ground. I am making the redevelopment of the stadium and it is massive, at least 30 by 30 in the lot editor:
    /idealbb/files/mcg.JPG

sorry it isn't a render, but i don't have simcity installed so i can't download the BAT.
if anyone knows more information about the redevelopment feel free to share, thanks.

JEC i love your stadiums but still, i think the best 1 is the athens olympic stadium, and u should finish it up. I would really like to help u with some problems u have been having with that stadium, but i'm not qualified person to do that. Try to get some help! if u get it done u will get the 10 stars, and if there were more u would get them also, couse this is the most beautiful bat i've ever seen!!!44.gif
Please finish it, i'm speaking for me and for others, couse i'm sure that all simcity fans would love to have that stadium in thier city!

    thanks,
i think so as well kagevrtugol. i can't work on it now because i do not have the file, but when i get back i'll fix the seating and seperate the stadium in half to see if it can export. if that doesn't work, i'll have to export the roof seperately which means the transparency won't work.
however, the hardest part of this is making custom lods and that may take the most time because i haven't exactly experimented very much.

JEC, I have a questiont. How big is the lot of those stadiums going to be? I'm talking about the Kuip, Celtic Park and Allianz Arena. I really want to know that. Thanx in advance.

dont sweat about the custom LODS JEC. There super easy. just draw the shape you want the LOD to be and copy it so there are 3 objects. just name one LOD3, LOD4, LOD5.

Stadium looks awsome. very cool and massive.

The MCG looks great. The proportions look right too (at least they do to me, and I've seen it an awful lotta times on TV). There's a site somewhere about the redevelopment... couldn't for the life of me remember where it is, though.
    EDIT: FOUND IT! Try here!

You'll definitely have to split the 'G - it's waaay too big.

a small request - I wouldn't mind having just an AFL field (you appear to have one set up there in the stadium). Is there any possible way you could copy and paste that into a new file and export it? I'd love to have a little AFL field (I'm a follower despite the fact I live in Sydney, where NRL is the dominant league). You should also release a light tower prop (they look excellent).

I think that just about explains it.
I have some files recovered (de kuip is on of them a bit old though) but i tried to merge the scene into gmax, but it doesn't work. It seems that all the saved files are corrupted now.

btw, thanks tunafish for the advice and you too cammo for the link, i completely overlooked that section. oh, and i can't answer that question at the moment flrscf.

I'm sorry to hear your hard talented work has been lost, I was looking forward to some quality stadiums to get me back into the city building mood.

JVGazeley who posted on the 1st page is a Ipswich Town fan as am I, would you consider making Portman Road, as a smaller scale stadium, I can get you exterior and interior photos as I'm a season ticket holder, plus my dad just works close by and can get photos too.

Anyway goodluck if you continue BATting stadia.

i probably will continue this (currently i am making a series of lord foster's structures which are not as difficult as i thought), but i have a question. i completely overlooked my favortite FA premier league squad (Chelsea FC) and was just wondering if anyone would really rather have another one (like portmand road or the ones i mentioned in the first post): http://www.outdoor.se/css/g_model_3.jpg
it's unique because a hotel is connected to it and the stands have varying roof structures.
i'm still not 100% sure what is wrong with my backup files though.

does anyone know if AutoCAD is a lot different from gmax and if it has any easier methods to build stadiums (seating amongst other examples)? because i may be able to get it from my school if they agree to purchase it.

I'm sure Chelsea is gonna be great!

As I couldn't understand exactly wich stadiums are lost, here are the ones I'd love to have in my cities : Parc des Princes, and especially De Kuip.

But just do what you want, because you do it very well!
If you want chelsea, go ahead! Many people will ask for many stadiums, but no one would make chelsea for you...

Do what you want JEC, as timo said. But of course i have suggestions3.gif:

    1. De Kuip (for some strange reason i like that stadium2.gif)

    2. English stadiums (like chelsea)!! They are the best! (also scottish stadiums)
