City load crashes

is there an sc4pac corrupt file finder or sc4 corrupt file finder and eraser? Even with SC4 patched, it still crashes at the city load screen.

Does the game try to load a city, take maybe 2m and then just CTD? Are you using NAM with the Full/RHW Controller?

If the answer to both of these is yes, even if you think your game has the 4GB patch, I bet you the process didn't actually take. This is like the #1 NAM support issue of the last few years and it's incredibly common. There are a number of reasons why even after running the 4GB Patch, your game's .exe still remains without the needed change.

Usually if you move the SimCity 4.exe to a temp folder in an unprotected part of your HDD, patch it there, then return the .exe to the install folder where it was originally, this gives the most reliable patching experience.

Another reason is something that the late @Odainsaker had experienced during rendering a huge region. Apparently, his regions and mod collections were so huge that every time he enters a city, it simply crash. Anyone who found the thread can link here.
