Game Freezing Bug

Hello. I bought SimCity 2013 a few months ago. But sinse i bought  the game, i have encountered a lot of bugs and errors. First, the game would not open at first becouse there was a problem with the "properties.txt" file of the game. After i solved this error, another bug started to occur: The game suddenly freezes. While playing the game normally, it freezes all of a sudden and i cannot load that city again. When i try to load the city, i get stuck on the loading screen forever. I created another city and after playing for a while, the city i created suddenly froze and stopped loading. According tp research i did, i read that some corrupt "scripts" files are causing the game to freeze, but i am not sure. I suspect that the buildings that are causing the game to freeze are the parks because whenever i place a park, game freezes immediately, or after placing any other building. I am not sure. I also noticed that the game freezes after going into the settings section of the game and changing a few settings. I hope someone has some solutions that can help.

Hiya. I've never played (nor even installed) this version of SimCity and there are very, very few peeps posting in this section of the site.

My best guess, however, is that you might need a Direct X Wrapper. Good luck!

(And if you do solve it, feel free to post back with details which might help someone else in the future.  )

Hello first of all, i would like to thank you for your response. I wanted to write you the results i got after installing the Direct X Wrapper. When the game first opens, the window that appears on the screen appears as a black screen, so i cannot change servers. After starting the game, i was able to play without  any problems, but after saving and exiting my city, i tried to enter the game again and load one of my saved cities, but the loading screen was still stuck. If you have any other suggestions that would help, you can write me again. Thank you again.

Grrr. Do we know if they still have any servers up? I've never played this version, but since it was a dismal flop with the public, I would have guessed EA dropped all support. Ofc, I don't know that for certain.

This is encouraging inasmuch as you were able to get into the game and play. I wonder if the save thinks it's going to some non-existent server?

Is there anywhere when you start the game to select Offline (or local) Play?
